My Cheating Art
Introduction I am no artist, and I am hardly a writer or musician either but I would describe myself as a creator. As I have written for Vocal the issue of plagiarism keeps raising its head and sometimes I want to use an image but cannot find the proper way to credit the original creator because it was just found on a Google search.

The 1 Book on Creativity I've Recommended 100 Times
The best books are able to make coherent sentences from thoughts your mind can only mumble to itself. I’ve only ever read one book that has put my thoughts to words, and it’s one that I’ll be recommending to friends until the end of time.

Creatd Chairman Letter
It had become apparent, in the weeks following the announcement of our Rights Offering on May 26th, that the market did not then have an appetite for the transaction we had envisioned. Context is everything and time provides for alternative opportunities. On July 29th, after careful and logical consideration, we announced that we had elected not to proceed with the offering. Since May 26th, CRTD has traded 78MM shares—nearly five times its public float of 17MM. I am confident that I, personally, count nearly half of those holders in my personal network. CRTD has traded from a recent high of $1.50 on May 26th to a historical low of $0.60. All of this has given me more confidence to move forward with our new plan of action. A team like ours must bet against the consensus and be right.

Multi-Level Marketing Is the Gutter of Capitalism
I’ve never been in an MLM, but for some reason I’m addicted to watching anti-MLM content and listening to stories of people who have been in them and got screwed. It’s clear that most people in MLM’s make almost no money or lose money, based on income disclosure statements from the company’s themselves, the federal trade commission, and experiences told from people previously in MLMs.

5 Reasons Why You May Want to Alter Your Online Identity
Are writers who use pen names and avatars to mask their true identities cowards? I used to think so, at least when it came to content creators. It’s one thing to be a woman trying to get her novel published in the 1800s and quite another to be one writing essays and opinion pieces today. Or is it?

Five Steps to Create Your Own Hypertext Fiction
For the more experimentally-minded writer, hypertext fiction - a form of nonlinear interactive fiction using electronic documents - is a form with a lot of potential. However, creating hypertext fiction requires a set of technical skills that many writers don't possess.

Salman Rushdie, New Yorker
Horrifying news is all the more shocking if you yourself were only just talking and laughing with the victim of a terrible attack. Just a few days before Sir Salman Rushdie was gravely injured onstage in Chautauqua, in western New York, I was chatting with him in the lounge of a private members’ club in lower Manhattan, the city that, for the past 23 years, has been the writer’s adopted home. We were a gathering of three — Salman and I and Jeremy Frommer, Executive Chairman of Creatd, Vocal’s parent company and one of my oldest friends. Turns out that Rushdie and Frommer were members of the same club — when I’d discovered that the two of them hung out there, I felt I had to bring these unique people together.
