Pathaan Review
The film "Pathaan" marks the return of Shah Rukh Khan to the big screen after a four year hiatus. It is an action-packed thriller that follows the story of a Pakistani officer seeking revenge against India for revoking the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. He enlists the help of a former RAW agent and his accomplice, an ex-ISI agent, as they hop continents and engage in a dangerous game of betrayal and revenge. The film is directed by Siddharth Anand and is heavily influenced by Hollywood blockbusters, featuring over-the-top action sequences and a heavy emphasis on patriotism. SRK's presence in the film elevates the average script and subpar VFX, and John Abraham's portrayal of Jim is a highlight. The chemistry between SRK and Deepika Padukone's characters is underdeveloped, but Dimple Kapadia's performance adds emotional depth to the film. Overall, the film has all the elements of a masala potboiler and showcases SRK as a formidable action hero.
