FAST X
Is the Fast & Furious franchise deserving of a triumphant victory lap? That's the central question surrounding the evaluation of "Fast X," a film that shamelessly resembles a Greatest Hits compilation from a highly successful artist. Not only does it directly tie into the monumental narrative shift of "Fast Five," but it continuously references other films in the series, either through explicit mentions or action sequences designed to evoke similar moments from "Fast & Furious 6," "Furious 7," and "The Fate of the Furious." Penned by Dan Mazeau and directed by Justin Lin (who departed the project due to creative differences, leaving his absence felt particularly in the choreography of action), the script feels like a self-referential loop, often veering into parody rather than providing a fresh entry that can stand on its own merits. Although the film offers entertainingly absurd action set pieces, greatly enhanced by Jason Momoa's enjoyable performance, there's an unmistakable sense of familiarity throughout "Fast X," rendering it more akin to reheated leftovers than a revitalized experience. It's worth noting that this film reportedly inaugurates a trilogy that will bring the series to a close. Let's hope that within the next two installments, they manage to introduce at least one innovative concept.

Fast X | Movie Review
Fast X is a major improvement over its predecessors, Fate of the Furious and F9. While the plot and screenplay may have flaws, the film delivers on what it promises: silly, action-packed, popcorn fun. Jason Maoma's performance as Dante Reyes, the ruthless, funny, and evil villain seeking revenge on Dom and his team, is a highlight of the movie. The film brings back memories of Fast Five with Agent Aimes hunting Dom and his team when they become fugitives. Despite some criticisms, Fast X is a solid addition to the franchise and has won over fans who were disappointed with the previous installments. It sets up a sequel that promises to continue the story and deliver more of the high-octane action that fans love. While not a perfect film, Fast X is a must-see for fans of the franchise who want to relive the fun and excitement of Fast Five.

The Creator | Teaser Trailer Review
The upcoming American science fiction action thriller film, The Creator, directed by Gareth Edwards, is set to hit theaters on September 29, 2023. The film boasts an impressive cast including John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, Madeleine Yuna Voyles, and Allison Janney. The trailer reveals a future war between humans and artificial intelligence, with Joshua, a former special forces agent, recruited to hunt down and eliminate the Creator, the architect of advanced AI who has developed a weapon capable of ending the war and humanity itself. While the premise may seem familiar, the production value is top-notch and the VFX look stunning. Fans of Sci-Fi and John David Washington will definitely want to check this out. With Gareth Edwards at the helm, we can expect an original and visually stunning film that will look incredible on an IMAX screen. Overall, The Creator looks absolutely epic and is sure to be a must-see in theaters.

One Sings The Other Doesn't
In response to the recent actions surrounding abortion rights and Roe Vs Wade, I wanted to revisit Agnes Varda’s epic One Sings, the Other Doesn’t. It’s epic in that the melodrama travails across Europe and fourteen years to detail the friendship of two women, Pauline and Suzanne. Like all of Varda’s work, One Sings infuses a kitsch sensibility to a film that otherwise plays like a straightforward exercise in genre. It also ignores conventional filmic tropes and plays as Varda’s feminist answer to the ‘buddy film.’

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One Trailer Review
Mission Impossible - Dead Retribution Part 1 is the furthest down the line expansion to the notorious Mission Impossible establishment, and it vows to be an exhilarating ride! With his IMF team, Tom Cruise, who has been the face of this franchise for nearly three decades, returns to deliver yet another heart-stopping cinematic spectacle. The trailer features some of the most intense action scenes ever shown on screen, and Cruise's dedication to his craft is hard not to admire. He still runs like a teenager and does his own stunts, going to the extreme for every movie, even though he is 60 years old.
