Writing in a New Genre
The idea started to form probably a little before I watched The Matrix. I was a small child still, and I didn't fully understand what was going on in the movie, but the concept of questioning reality was not foreign to me. And once I was able to look past the fun fight scenes and CGI of the movie, and understood the deeper message it was trying to portray, I realized the concept that had be growing in my mind was something people had questioned for years. They still are now.

How Many Words?
Nine months ago I published my first Vocal story “Coincidentally ... Ken Nordine” which I had lifted from my blog Seven Days In. It has had 40 reads logged against it, that is an average of one read per week. My least read piece has four reads partially because I never shared it on Social Media because it was such a downer piece but I need to get it out of my system and it sits there now as a warning of how not to be.

Tell Me More My new therapist asked if I had experienced trauma in my life. I told her about the time a man bought me a drink in the Cheers bar in Boston while I was in 12th grade and visiting with my family. My brother was playing football for Dartmouth, and earlier that day they beat Harvard 14-7. Somehow, I snuck a few drinks from the bartender; my twenty-three-year-old cousin facilitated the Ouzo shots for me most likely. The man at the bar coerced me to exit into the alley with him, where he pulled me closer, kissed me violently, and put one hand around my neck while twisting my nipple with the other. I was not safe.
