Pushing Towards New Highs
I had a front-row seat at the birth of electronic trading, and it had a profound influence on my career and the thought processes that I would systematically apply to all subsequent endeavors. At first, I was simply enthralled by what we were able to do with the data; how we assessed it and took risk in order to generate more money, with which we could take more risk. I became fascinated by the power and control a trader wielded when relying on data to make decisions. It was years later before I began thinking about the bigger picture and the implications of this new kind of trading. It’s a story about how technology systematically changed a well over 200-year-old industry.

The Biggest Boats In the Industry
Boats. Ships. Watercrafts. Seafaring vessels. Human holders. Call them what you will, but they're one of the most influential inventions in all of humankind. For some reason, they just keep on getting bigger. This innate drive to keep building larger and larger boats continues to confuse and mystify even the most accredited of scholars. Elements of this can be seen in the folklore and myths of many different types of religions. In Genesis chapters 6-8, Noah is commanded by God to prepare for an incoming flood by building a huge boat that is 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high. The purpose of this passage and the reason why God places so much emphasis on the size of the boat, is to communicate that large boats truly lead to salvation and that the creation of them should be encouraged. Whether or not you can agree on that, you can agree that boats truly have a peculiar place in most ancient texts.

Demand for Hand Sanitizer During COVID-19 Pandemic
Hand sanitizer is an antiseptic solution composed of ethyl or isopropyl alcohol and hydrogen peroxide mixed with fragrance, water and glycerine. The antimicrobial agents help to kill or permanently inactivate common pathogens such as bacteria and fungi. It has a self-drying formulation and hence is best used as an alternative to soap and water. It is used to prevent the transmission of infection, which is majorly caused through hand transmission, further causing several diseases such as nosocomial food-borne illness and others. Studies suggest that using Hand sanitizers also reduces the risk of gastrointestinal and respiratory infections. Increasing living standards and increase in Health expenditure with a solid support from the WHO and FDA have added to the surge in the demand for Hand sanitizers. For instance, organizational initiatives such as First Global Patient Safety Challenge by World Health Organization (WHO) promotes 'clean care is safer care' to spread awareness about basic hand hygiene across the world.
