Workplace witticisms, job jokes and career quips; who says work can't be a laughing matter?
The Vendor Pitch
Liquid lunches haven't been a thing since the 1980s, but if 2020 and 2021 didn't induce a revival of the trend, then nothing ever will. Who knows, maybe it's already started. What do you think all those people who never turn on their Zoom camera during meetings or who chug "coffee" at sixty second intervals are really doing?

The Mountain Treehouse
Finding a new rental home can sometimes be an entertaining experience. I always look for something that is something a little different to the usual brick and tile. Today's inspection of the "Cornubia Treehouse" was.....umm....interesting.

A Guide To NaNoWriMo
Have you ever done National Novel Writing Month? (affectionately referred to as NaNoWriMo by those who know it and do it (note, I didn’t say love it). Essentially, it’s a motivation tool - something to get you writing every day for 30 days in November, so that by the end of it you have 50,000 words, a good start and a large chunk of a story (novel). That’s not to say you have to finish your novel in 50,000 words. You just have to reach that goal.

It’s Not Enough to Be Right
There is a story about Jeff Bezos from when he was a young boy. He was with his grandparents, both of whom were smokers. Bezos had recently heard an anti-smoking PSA on the radio that explained how many minutes each cigarette takes off a person’s lifespan. The Brat
Great, another "meeting". I was sick and tired of this god damned manager. He just didn't know how to talk to people. He was one of those guys that talked 'at' people not 'to' them. I almost felt sorry for him since he wasn't experienced with our type of store. It was so big and had so many moving parts...so to speak. He bit off more than he could chew and like I said I almost felt sorry for him. He seemed to not like me at all, although he tried to hide it by being passive aggressive and joking. I'm not sorry for the way I am. If I know how to do something better I'll suggest it, there's no time to sugar coat things, this is work.

All I Wanted was an Easy Dinner
So for the most part, I am still unable to stand for more than a few seconds at a time without excruciating pain. My leg and foot is healing, but with healing comes pain... the skin pulled tightly, and when the blood rushes to the foot...
