Born to Lead
I was born in Kenya in Mombasa and ever since I could remember I lived with my grandma, BiSaida, a beautiful petite lady with a great smile and charisma and my grandpa, babuSaid a safari guide. Most of the time he was away because of his job, but when he returned he brought bush meat, from what could have been any animal. They were great times.

Nursing, a Noble Profession
Nursing, a Noble Profession The Nursing Profession is growing by leaps and bounds. I retired after 40-years of nursing. I enjoyed taking care of patients, and there was not a day that passed that I learned something new from those I worked with and my employers. However, it was also time to make a change and take life a bit easier.

24 and Unemployable
As a child, I had always enjoyed many different activities and had a wide array of interests. I wanted to be an artist so spent hours creating what my father said were masterpieces. I wanted to be a dancer so my mother enrolled me in dance classes and devoted her weekends to watching me on the benches. I wanted to become a musician so got a little acoustic guitar and went to lessons. I wanted to be a fashion designer so cut up all my clothes and tried to hot glue them back together adding every embellishment you could think of. As a child I had many creative dreams. I was an only child and loved to spend hours on my own creating and making things. My mother and father were very supportive of that and I thank them very much for this.

My Job Search Situation
I have a problem with my rib cage being painful and feeling like it is shifting side to side or something. This brace is often why I’m not hired right away. My knee is inching its way to better, give or take my rib cage situation as well. I find that the better I get, the more people will actually hire me, but I have to do a work from home gig for a while because I need to be able to work from home with my injuries in mind. All I need for two jobs is a headset. Rev.com demands I use a headset anyway.

Staying Motivated to Write
Anyone who has a passion for creating, not just written word but any kind of art, knows that in order to complete their work, they must stay motivated. We have all experienced the slip of concentration when it comes to our art, you are not alone. Whether it is just life getting in the way, or the fact that this piece is just not THE piece for you, it is not uncommon to lose focus and it is far too easy to just give up.

7 Reasons Why...
Let me start by saying I love working in the nursing field. I love helping others and making someone's day just a little brighter. I've been a CNA (Certified Nurse's Aide) roughly about 8 years. I also have also had my CMA (Certified Medication Aide) license for about 3 years. I've worked quite a few different aspects of nursing home care. Long term, skilled, memory care and assisted living. I've also worked for agencies, who send you to different facilities to work. I now work in a hospital and I truly love what I do. The last 2 nursing homes I worked are what almost made me quit the nursing field.

Becoming a Writer
In this post, I will tell you a little about me and what I am doing in order to become a writer. As this is the first time I have fully acknowledged my desired career path and therefore don't know whether it will work, I'd ask that you don't take what I am about to write as advice, just a note of my development. Everything I have to say in this post is simply my feeling, no judgement on any person who cannot do what I am doing or thinks I am crazy for doing it (I also think that at times).
