Becoming a Realtor
When my agent got me my house in August, I had no idea it was going to be the foundation for something greater. I was a first-time homebuyer, and while my needs for the house were light, I was still pretty nervous. Brooks and Mike handled everything beautifully and made the whole process amazingly stress free. After a 12 hour drive, I just wanted to get my keys, get my stuff into the garage and take a nap. Mike met us at the house at 0700 to deliver the keys to me. He had found and closed on a house for me in a very short amount of time so I could relocate easily for my job.

Why you need a Writers Group.
For many years, writing was a solitary process. It was a solitary passion. Whether I was sharing content on social media, my website, or Wattpad, I felt a lack of community. My readers were my family (after I annoyed them enough to read my content) and occasionally my co-workers. Despite the number of writers I engaged with as a reader, writing was an activity I participated in alone.

Being a runner for Film & TV...
The chances are if you've just got your first job/placement in the film and tv industry its as a runner or a researcher, if it's something else then I'm going to have to stop you there and say this post might not be as helpful as you'd have hoped. But, if your first job is as a runner then well done for getting your foot in the door, jobs in the industry are so competitive and sometimes hard to come by if your not living close to the main cities like Manchester, London, Glasgow and soon to be Liverpool! Whilst there are a runners working in all different departments (floor, production office, art department, post-production, camera etc) this advice applies to all of them.

My Favorite Publications to Work with as a Freelance Writer in 2020
I stumbled into becoming a freelance writer. After graduating college in May 2020, I planned to do a year (or two) of service. However, the pandemic spoiled my plans. Because I couldn't find a job, I decided on a whim to submit some of my pieces to a few publications. I have a Bachelor's degree in Writing and one of my favorite Writing professors encouraged me to get something published. I wasn't so sure my writing was good enough, but I gave it a shot. My first dozen or so pitches were either flat-out rejected or ignored (many publications cannot respond to every submission, which is understandable given the volume of submissions). Although I understand that publications cannot accept every piece sent to them, I still suffered a wounded ego. It hurts when a piece I poured time, energy, and emotions into is turned down. But facing rejection has forced me to be resilient and persistent--both in continuing to write and putting myself out there. Publications aren't going to stumble upon my work, so I constantly have to pitch them.

What Now?
It is officially here! Graduating from college is an exhilarating, bittersweet, and nerve-wracking experience. Since starting my senior semester in August of 2020, I had this happy and sad feeling in the pit of my stomach. It felt like a significant part of my life was coming to an end. This feeling was also accompanied by the pressure of getting my life in order after graduating with my bachelor's degree in writing studies. I studied writing for the last 5 years in college, and now comes the time to see if my hard work has paid off.

What To Do If The UK Has A Third Lockdown
