Maybe Being A Starving Artist Actually Makes Me Happy
Yet another time in my life, at 28 years old, I realize I am unhappy with my life path. Often I find myself diving into new ventures (most recently being a real estate agent) with the hopes of making enough money to fuel my millions of creative ideas swimming in my artist’s brain. And just as often, I am bombarded with overwhelming feelings of discontent with the way the cookie crumbles.

How Event Management is the best career?
Events are a piece of our life, but it is useful for those who consider it to be a profession. straightforwardly and by implication, we are associated with them. Birthday festivities, get-togethers, commitment, and weddings are occasions we celebrate at the individual level.

JOB SCAM WARNING – “TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE” ALMOST CERTAINLY STILL IS
Three weeks ago, I started an online interview with a Human Resource person from a major international corporation, and barely an hour later, after consulting with a vice-president, Mr. Malcolm said “regarding your standing in a customer service online role, you are hired!”

Housekeeping During a Pandemic
From mid-July to early December 2020, I worked as a housekeeper at a nursing home close to my house. I lost my last job, and I had seen an opening for this housekeeping position online. So I thought, Great! I have experience in housekeeping! After submitting my application I had gotten a call just a day later. I was overcome with relief. Being unemployed has always given me the worst feeling, and I was over-eager to get employment. So rather than think about what I actually wanted in terms of work, I said yes to the first place that gave me an offer. So started the worst few months of my life.

Me?
How About That! There's a lot about me people don't know. For one, as my best friend forever (BFF), Al, will wholeheartedly point out, "Graham has a hard time keeping things brief and getting to the point." But aside from that, when I'm writing, I can be brief. I tried and I tried, and I tried, looking at how I was going to insert a "brief" description of myself into the "Bio" block here on Vocal Media. I (just) couldn't do it.

How I'm starting over after three years as a professional blogger
I've been blogging professionally since 2018. My dream back then was to write about women's health and supplements, and that eventually my blog would make us a lot of money and that I could quit working retail, and my husband could quit his day job.

My Journey to UX
Hey everyone, I wanted to talk about the three things that help me transition into the UX design field in this article. I've worked as a UX designer for the past 2 years now. So I definitely understand when you're starting how difficult it can be to get a callback, get an interview and stay motivated to keep going. There's a huge misconception that you have to have formal training as a designer or come from a design background to get started in UX design. I myself was a developer before becoming a designer. There have been other people I've met who worked in different industries such as nursing, carpentry, and sales before they transitioned into UX design.

How Losing My Job Dismantled My World
The first thing I noticed that April morning was that my computer monitor wasn’t on. There was a small post-it stuck to the screen- Come see me - JM. I walked into my bosses office with zero intuition or expectation that anything was amiss. I wasn’t worried, but it only took a moment for that to change. Years later, I can still conjure up a near-perfect image of the face I’d seen as friendly turning into something else.

It started with stress cleaning a closet during the pandemic
We do not give our childhood dreams enough weight. As soon as you can talk, the world starts asking you: “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Without a moment of hesitation or fear, we confidently shoot for the moon and pick an occupation among the stars.

Working wordsmiths (1)
I love being a writer! Over the years I have written everything from a press release to get a politician out of the poop to a libretto for an award-winning opera. I have adapted novels for the stage, and written monologues for radio. But though I’ve often used the word, I have never been a scribe.
