The IDF spokesperson, Daniel Hagari, stated that the hostages' bodies were transferred to Israeli territory for examination, which confirmed their identities. Two of the hostages have been identified as Yotam Heim and Samir Talala, who were kidnapped from kibbutz Kafar Aza and kibbutz near Am, respectively. The third hostage's identity has not been disclosed at the request of their family. This tragic incident raises questions about the IDF's strategy in rescuing hostages by force, as more hostages have been killed in recent days.
