The controversial essay that almost failed me
I have never been a good student and I have never been good at school. We'll skip to the year that matters, senior year 2020; I had been planning to leave my abusive parents home for years at this point, fought off a stubborn depression, and had been falling deeper and deeper in love with the act of writing, whether it be fiction or something honest like this.

Five Things I Learned About Storytelling From Judging My First Writing Contest
Background: In 2017, I entered a Maryland-based writing contest and ultimately had my short story submission “The Pawn Shop of Intangible Things” place second. It was a pretty amazing experience that has involved an awards ceremony, a nice check, and free admission to a sci-fi writing conference where I read my story on a panel. Last but not least of all the honors, I was asked to be a judge for the 2018 contest.

“When life closes a door, it opens a window or leads through a Better Door
I’m sure we’ve all heard that quote “when life closes a door, it opens a window”. It’s such an old and often quoted (and misquoted) phrase that I cannot even find the original author of this bit of wisdom.

5 Ways to Manifest Inner Peace
1. INSERT YOUR PERSONALITY/ INTERESTS WHENEVER OR HOWEVER YOU CAN A job can really feel like a job. Even if this will not be your profession you want it to feel like your destiny. It should feel like every day you are being fulfilled even if they are making you feel like a cog in a machine. You know you are more. You have to be more. I know you are because I am more. You are more than a body. Your input is valuable. It is necessary and influential. No matter where your workplace is or what your position asks of you, you bring your individualism to your environment. Play the music you like. Smile big or frown purposefully. Personalize your space. Celebrate what you feel is of importance. Display the things/ people that elevate your spirit. Wherever you are your best self, bring that version to the place you hate the most. I guarantee you; you will hate it less. Remember who you were when you got to that workplace. Were you optimistic? Did you have ideas you wanted to add to the organization? Make the jokes that make you laugh the hardest or wait until you get home and laugh about your co-workers with people you like. If you are like me, and you like the people you work with, appreciate them. Take advantage of your lunch time. Talk to them. Not about work but about their life. Be a support. Be a sounding board. Be the real laugh machine. Listen to their stories.

What About The Dudes?
👋🏾There, I have a friend, Matthew Fisher, but we call each other Bidnugget. Those details are irrelevant, along with our doing a daily sports show, which goes hot every weekday around 4pm. What is important, is why I, and my friend created this show. Now if you ask Matt, his response is more than not; we created this show, because we needed somewhere to talk sports. Easy, Peezy, Lemon Squeezy. Sixty five thousand dollar education from the (7-5) Liberty Flames. I guess party of me, has become ok with that being all he has to say; after all, he eats, sleeps, and breathes sports; but for me its more, so much more…

5 Mistakes to Avoid When Writing Romance
Lust is about looks, love is about connection - romantic love, and romance, is somewhere in the middle.
