Pamala, Where Are You?

As God calls us back to spend time with Him

“Pamala, Where Are You?”

God will not lose track of His faithful people during the times ahead. Jesus Christ knows His sheep and He will guide us through everything that lies ahead. It is as easy as believing, and it is as easy as truly loving Him. Our Father is All Knowing and All Seeing. There is nothing that is or can be hidden from Him. He is eternal, and He even knows the numbers of the hairs on our heads. This is not just a saying, for He formed us in our mother’s wombs. He knows where His lilies blow in the breezes, where the birds are nesting. He knows where we are, always knows. He won’t have to hunt us down any more than He did not have to hunt down Adam in the garden, or Cain when his brother's blood cried out from the earth. God knows. Adam and Eve hid in the garden when they heard Gods footsteps. He knew where they were all along and He knew what they had done. His asking Adam: "Where are you?" did not mean that He didn’t know where Adam was. This was a very loud and convicting way to make Adam realize what he had done when He disobeyed God.

His love is amazingly endless…

This was reminding Adam that he himself was hiding from God and to take it in completely of his sin. Adam had always before greeted God, to be with Him, and now he was hiding from his God. The moment Adam slipped into disobedience, he slipped away from God, and as God said, "Where Are You?” this brought Adam face to face with the horrifying fact that he was hiding from God. This is a lesson as well for you and for me. We too can slip away from God for a moment, a devastating moment, and it is a horrid thing to have it crash down on you with conviction. But we must be glad that we are so convicted, for that is what brings us running immediately back. Sometimes it might be a thought, and that conviction, that pull, will bring us back before we even act.

We won’t be able to do anything until we have truly confessed and repented, we will have the need to hit our knees right then. It will be the greatest need that we cannot ignore. We will stop all things to just go away in prayer, in tears. If we find ourselves shedding no tears for the Lord, we need to worry.

We need be grateful for those tears. People go on about emotions and feelings and to a point I agree, mainly because the false religions have such horrid false teachings of the false Holy Spirit, so we must understand. But, if we do not feel conviction and if we have no tears, we have not known our great Lord and Savior.

His love is a promise of being endless…

God says to us also during those moments: "Pamala, where are you?" He knows where I am. He is gently nudging me with His almighty love that maybe I am wrong about something, or have been away from Him too long. I pray that each of us do know how Adam felt when God was calling out to Him.

That calling out is what brings us back, back to our Lord, to stay connected to the Vine. When our hearts are convicted of something, no matter how tiny it may be, it is a huge deal, and I pray we do feel that conviction and that we hear His tender calling out to us. The last thing I ever want to do is to disappoint my God. It’s a moment that is horrible, but as quickly as we feel horrible about it, He brings in the sweet peace and forgiveness and leads us on. It happens simultaneously, I think. It is like as one feeling of conviction is happening, then the flow of forgiveness and comfort.

His efforts to reach us wherever we are, are endless…

God wants to know where we are, for our own sake. He knows us...we need to know Him. In His straightforward way of asking "Pamala, where are you?” He is pulling us back, just as a mother pulls back her child into the safety of her arms and sight. A mommy asks her child: "Bobby, where are you?" So is the same with God, except that He does see us and knows where we are. He is getting us to see for ourselves where we are, so we don’t stray too far.

When the world goes mad, even worse than it is now, our God will know where each one of us is, and all along the way...His promise to us is that He will always ask "Pamala, where are you?".....
