Job hunting is no longer a headache: this is how finding a job is faster and easier with the help of AI.

When searching for a job, one of the biggest hurdles is knowing where to start. Job boards offer thousands of vacancies, but it's not always easy to identify the ones that truly suit each individual. In this context, artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming a key tool for streamlining this process.

LinkedIn recently introduced a new AI-based feature aimed at making job searches easier.

The new tool allows users to describe, in natural language, the type of job they want. Instead of using specific terms like "location" or "industry," the AI is able to interpret phrases like "I want to use my marketing skills to support social causes" or "I'm looking for a technology role that allows me to work remotely."

Using advanced algorithms, this feature processes the entered descriptions and delivers results tailored to the user's profile and intentions.

“More than half of job seekers miss out on relevant opportunities because they don't know which filters to use. Our new AI-powered job search is a game-changer: now you can simply express what you want in your own words,” the platform stated.

The tool is available to LinkedIn Premium subscribers, and although it started in English, more languages have already been added.

Job Matching and Profile Enhancement

Another aspect of this innovation is the match feature, which shows the degree of match between the user's profile and each job posting.

This system highlights the most relevant opportunities and reduces the time spent reviewing offers that don't fit the applicant's needs. It also allows applicants to discover options that might not have been initially considered, thus expanding job placement opportunities.

The platform also integrates tools that analyze the user's profile and suggest improvements to make it more attractive to recruiters.

These suggestions range from writing a job title to describing previous experience. Some assistants use AI to correct errors, reorganize information, and highlight the most sought-after skills.

Professional development support

AI doesn't just facilitate the job search; it also plays a role in professional development. LinkedIn, for example, recommends courses and certifications that respond to labor market trends.

If a skill becomes more in-demand in a particular industry, the platform can suggest appropriate learning opportunities to help users stay competitive.

Furthermore, the Career Journey feature helps those considering a career change. It allows them to set goals, explore real-life career paths, and create personalized training plans.

The system also includes an AI coach who answers course questions, clarifies complex concepts, and summarizes content.

Tools for Recruiters and Job Verification

The implementation of artificial intelligence also benefits employers. LinkedIn introduced the "Hiring Assistant," an AI-based agent that automates tasks such as creating job descriptions or managing candidates. This allows recruiters to focus on evaluating profiles and improving the applicant experience.

Another key element is job transparency. The platform displays verified information on response times and companies actively evaluating applications. This feature aims to increase user confidence when applying for a job.

An Evolving Tool

According to Tomer Cohen, LinkedIn's director of products, 70% of people will need to acquire new skills in the next five years to stay competitive. The platform seeks to facilitate this adaptation and connect users with opportunities that meet the demands of today's work environment.

In a market characterized by rapid change and an abundance of information, AI-based tools like LinkedIn's seek to simplify the search process and offer more effective solutions for both job seekers and job providers.
