Do real people make income? Win cash and prizes during contest?

I’ve been posting Alot of my writing here on Vocal for a few years now. I’ve been sharing, posting and entering contasts when I can. I’ve noticed the number of view over all and the views on each story isn’t adding up. Like the stories having been read by people but the story say 0 views but the over all views goes up. So, how accurate are the views for each story truly work?

You spend time promoting your writing and write as much as you can but how much is Vocal pushing your work to the front of the page to be read? There are people on Vocal who do make a decent amount of income from vocal from views and tips. But how many people actually make an income? Doesn’t feel like many people.

Are there even really people who make an income? Do real people win the cash and prizes from contests? It would be a great opportunity to be able to talk to people who are able to win cash and prizes, and make an income because helping each other would improve our work and improve ourselves.

It’s a nice feeling when you do get views on your stories followed by likes and comments. It does make you feel so good to know someone enjoys your work and wants more of your work. It makes you want to keep on writing and keep them posting but also feel discouraged when time, views and the amount earned on views don’t add up.

How lidget is writing for vocal? Is it even worth posting your writing pieces? If you ignore that you earn almost nothing but enjoy the feeling it gives you when people are paying attention to you, then yes. Over all it is very nice to get the attention for something I did.

It’s an addiction when you are on a roll of writing and the amount of attention you get is inspiring to want to keep writing and opens your imagination to have it all spill out all over your paper.

Nothing is better then people knowing what you daydream about all day. It’s like an award. Sometimes, for me at least, this is better then a pay check.

With the new communities through out social media has for writers on vocal, it feels like a safe space for smaller, and new accounts. Writers on vocal are able to leave comments on your stories and everyone is encouraging and loving. This makes a hug difference on sharing your writing.

Writing for a lot of people it’s personal. Having a safe space like vocal is a make it or break it for a lot of people. Especially when you are sharing your deepest thoughts and feeling.

At the end of the day is vocal worth posting on? Even if you don’t really make much of an income? Yes because sometimes the experience of writing and sharing your work is richer then a pay cheque.

I’m not saying I wouldn’t mind earning something for my stories wouldn’t be nice but if you spent all of your time worrying about how much you’re going to make you won’t make it very far on vocal.

When you do make something on views or even tips it’s a nice little treat. It does support my coffee addiction. Don’t forget the addiction of collection notebooks that are half full and cute pens that match each notebook.

Will I ever make a real pay cheque from posting my stories and work on vocal? In the mean time of pondering that thought I continue to enjoy the attention I get from people reading my content.
