Introduction to Blogger/Blogspot. How to Create a Free Blogger/BlogSpot Blog or Website

Blogging is one of the best ways to make money online.

You might be familiar with Blogger Blogspot. You might hear people extensively talking about creating a free Blog or Website on Blogger Blogspot. You might dream to own a blog or website but you don't know how to create it. You might not pay the high charges of a professional blog or website developer. You might not be familiar to create a Blog or Website with Blogger Blogspot. You might not…Or you might be…! Whatever the case is. This article is gonna taught you how to create a Blog or Website on Blogger Blogspot - step by step guide.

What is Blogger Blogspot?

As you know, there are many website-building platforms that allow you to create websites or blogs. The most renowned platforms are WordPress, Wix, and hostinger for Wordpress hosting. Blogger is a google product that allows you to create your free website or blog and earn by monetizing it. You can earn money as much as you want. It depends on the efforts that you put into your blog growth. Blogger/BlogSpot is easy to use platform to host your websites as compared to WordPress. So at the beginning of the blogging journey, you should start with a blogger (my opinion). Because creating WordPress websites need some professional knowledge and skill in web development. It doesn't mean, I am saying, building a website or blog on blogger requires no knowledge or skill. As I told you before, it is easy to use. So you can learn it easily and can build your blog by yourself.

So, let's begin with how to create your free blog or website on Blogger/Blogspot.

Follow me in this process, I will guide you step by step with a visual demonstration so that you understand everything without any frustration. You just need to follow every step carefully so that you don't make a mistake.

Step 1. Sign in to Blogger

Open your chrome and "Blogger Blogspot."

You will see the blogger site at the top of the Google page Click on sign in or you can directly click on create a blog. I will suggest you click on sign in. The sign-in process is as simple as signing in to any social media account. You can sign in with any of your logged-in mail.

Step 2. Choose a name for your blog

Screenshot by AuthorAfter clicking on sign in, the new screen will pop up as shown in the above image. Choose the website/blog name whatever you want. I choose my blog name "earning coil." Then click next.

Step 3. Choose a URL or domain name

In this step, you are gonna select the blog URL or domain name for your blog. See the image below. You have to type your name and check the availability.

Note: Here you can see my blog name is "earningcoill." But my real blog name is "earningcoil." I forgot to take a screenshot when I created that, so why create a new one for the screenshot, I have to choose a different name to show that name is available. I will proceed to guide you further from my actual blog "earningcoil." Or I might change my domain name later because here I am just creating to teach you.

Step 4. Choose display name

Let's come to the next step. Choose a display name of your blog and click finish. Display name means author name. I have chosen the same name as my blog. You can choose your name. I might change my display name later.

Here you are done with signing into your blog or you can say creating your blog. After clicking on the finish you will see a screen as shown in the below picture. Here you can see there is no post because we are just ending up creating a blog.

Final thought.

This is all about creating a blog. The real work starts now. Now we will build our blog. The next article will contain information about the selection of themes, and customization of the blog. You might think, there is a default theme option and you can simply select by yourself. But we are not gonna select a theme from bloggers for a reason. I will cover everything about theme selection and customization in the next part.
