How SEO Boosts Your Reads on Vocal Media

Skyrocket Your Reads Now!

By Joshua WilsonPublished 3 years ago 4 min read

As a vocal media writer, you possess the remarkable ability to create captivating content that resonates with your audience. However, in the vast ocean of online articles, it can be challenging for your voice to be consistently heard. This is where the power of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) comes into play.

By integrating SEO principles into your writing, you can attract regular visitors to your content, eliminate the need to rely on reciprocal engagement and save valuable time and effort. In the following, we will explore the incredible benefits of SEO for vocal media writers, empowering you to take control of your online presence and expand your readership.

1. Saving Effort in Engagement Strategies

Traditionally, writers often relied on reciprocal engagement with other authors, hoping for reciprocal reads, "heart" clicks, and subscriptions. While engagement within the writing community is undoubtedly valuable, solely depending on it can be time-consuming and unpredictable.

With a solid SEO foundation, your content has the potential to attract an audience beyond the boundaries of reciprocal engagement. By consistently creating high-quality, optimized content, you can capture the attention of readers actively searching for information, thereby reducing your reliance on reciprocal engagements for visibility and growth.

"SEO is a noun, verb and adjective." – Todd Malicoat

2. Attracting Regular Visitors

One of the key advantages of implementing SEO techniques is the ability to generate a steady stream of organic traffic to your content. By optimizing your articles for relevant keywords and phrases, you increase the likelihood of appearing in search engine results when users are actively seeking information related to your topics.

This targeted exposure allows you to capture the attention of interested readers who are more likely to become regular visitors to your content, establishing a loyal readership base.

"Good SEO is paying attention to all the details that most bloggers ignore." – Ryan Biddulph

3. Amplifying Visibility on Vocal Media

While Vocal Media provides a platform for writers to showcase their talent, the competition for readers' attention can be fierce. By applying SEO strategies to your articles, you enhance their visibility not only on external search engines but also within the Vocal Media platform itself.

By aligning your content with relevant keywords and optimizing titles, descriptions, and headings, you improve the chances of your articles being discovered by Vocal Media users, increasing the exposure and potential reach of your writing.

"SEO isn’t about gaming the system anymore; it’s about learning how to play by the rules" – Jordan Teicher

4. Embracing Organic Sharing

SEO opens up the opportunity for your content to be organically shared by readers across various platforms. When your articles appear in search engine results and address specific queries, users are more likely to find value in your writing and share it with their own networks.

This organic sharing not only increases the reach of your content but also introduces new readers who may develop an affinity for your writing style, generating a continuous influx of visitors without solely relying on self-promotion.

"SEO is like a resume, you polish it so you have your best foot forward." – Matt Cutts

5. Cultivating Long-Term Traffic

Investing time and effort in SEO allows you to lay a foundation for long-term success. Unlike short-term engagement strategies, which require constant upkeep, SEO efforts have the potential to generate sustained organic traffic to your content over time.

By consistently applying SEO best practices and regularly updating and optimizing your articles, you create a lasting impact on search engine rankings, ensuring a continuous influx of new visitors who discover and engage with your writing.

"The future of SEO is here: understanding and marketing to specific and defined audiences through search engines." – Adam Audette

Supercharge Your Writing Journey with SEO

As a vocal media writer, prioritizing SEO in your content creation process can yield tremendous benefits. By attracting regular visitors, amplifying visibility, saving effort in engagement strategies, embracing organic sharing, and cultivating long-term traffic, you empower yourself to build a thriving readership base and expand your influence. Instead of relying solely on reciprocal engagement and self-promotion.

Alright, I'm interested, but this mainly talked about the points of why one should rely on maximizing their SEO performance, instead of providing SEO performance and keyword tips, advice, etc. Sure, there's a lot of experimenting involved, but what can You provide in the understanding of SEO optimization that I won't be able to take note of from sources that are on LinkedIn Learning, Vumedi, or even for free on YouTube?

Great information - thank you for sharing this! My question also would be how can SEO work with fiction writing?

Good advice for articles. 😁 For fiction though? 🤔
