Hometown Heroes-village girl

Village girl in the city:)

Every struggle has a story, every story has an happy ending. Always have a positive mind, smile and work hard

Trying to struggle and achieve from a middle class family I always dreamt to be an engineer. Parents have always supported irrespective of staying in a village full of criticism, jealousy , insult, crazy minds, mean people, not helping when someone wants to rise up.

#First attempt- Loan for a college. Loan for hostel.

With less money, no background support, always letting down by others, critiscing, never been supported by anyone except parents. Living in a village with full of people always making fun of what we are, who we are, what we do, very tough to get up, grow stronger. Never thought I could make it, but always had this hardworking nature in me. What I want, I want to have it, when I know what I want, try more than harder to achieve it. Along with parents, God always have been supportive of it. Finishing engineering without having a backlog is an achievement. Early studying, struggling in hostel for food, accommodations , ragging, less friends , mean friends tried to achieve it.

People always questioned on what I do, how I do, make me regret all the time about my success, never been praised. Somehow manage to get a decent legit honour without being questioned was a first change that helped people realise people who were never strong with money or thought who can do nothing, can also come up.

#Second attempt- First job at HPE

After attending 16 interviews, roaming all over Bangalore-bus, train, auto. Spending a lot of money- finally got a job at HP(electronic city). After college, before job -rather trying to get a job after degree is not easy. Not a great college, couldn’t get a job in the campus, struggled every references, job portals, websites to apply for. None of my relatives, cousins helped - all they did was talk. Make fun, imagine I would get married and won’t work anyway. Never supported in anything except criticise, insult. Managing through a very tough time , holding on to thousands of negative thoughts managed to get a job and made my parents proud. Everyone now in village have realised looking at the struggle , not to hurt . I never had a mindset to hurt anyone , wanted to always have that confidence rise up and prove.

learning to work with different people from different places, learning new languages, trying to get along the pace. Always focused on to move forward, grow and never let down my parents faith. smiled and worked hard.

#Third attempt- 6 years of job-married-working in Australia

Always had this thought, marriage shouldn’t be a barrier for work. I had to go through a tough time where in I had to move to Australia. With corona in picture, we were apart for 1.8 years. Time had come to quit job and move. Always wanted to be responsible, independent , I made my mind to get a job here too. Today I am responsible for my marriage, my younger sister marriage as well along with looking after my parents.

Love for sisters, kids, family, people in our native. Have always motivated all the villagers -men and women, boys and girls about getting a job, learn something new, try to be independent, respect and love everyone. Have motivated , helped , mentored. Helped people with a smile who have insulted me/family. Always have believed in hardworking and work 100% on what we want.

Coming from a village with full of people with old thinking, different perspectives from schooling, work, clothes, culture, habits, commenting on every family, kids, career, comparing on marks at every step, from starting to talk in a medium required to, managing to live on my own, I have proudly made a breakthrough getting out, studying staying away from family, managed on money, got a job, paid back loans, got married , earning for taking care of family, helped anyone needed from the village, working in an NGO, supporting people. irrespective of many breakdowns, always have managed to rise up, work hard and get my way with a smile.

Always have this helping nature irrespective of you can or not. There is always a way that comes up. I always have been supported by my family. Never let your parents pride go down, dont let them shook their head with your inabilities, dont hurt anyone. Just rememeber "What goes around, comes back around", focus on your actions and try and always learn to shrine. Respect everyone, learn, work hard and achieve your dreams. Have a hobby that will always bring back you to focus on what you want to achive.

Growing up in a reserved village, helping people though nothing you pursue is approved of, achiving what you want is never easy. I never want to prove anyone, actions spoke. villagers have apologised for wrong judging, hurting, praised, giving me as an example for others to work hard and achieve. Have faith in yourself, trust yourself and always have this thought in head " you can, you will". Have a slogan that keeps you motivated, that will help you grow. Mine is "Arise, awake and stop not until the goal is reached".

Be good from inside , always good things shower your way,

A small poetry to quote my life :

village girl , planning to study is a big thing, spending money for education and manage living was another wing. life gives you one chance to stand by, when whole family, villagers criticise- stand back being wise, it denies.

Struggles on the way- dont collapse, smile, work hard make up your mind for your dream to come true. Success follows your way, god will shower things, be back at right place and you will always shine blue.

Manage your abilities, explore, work hard, learn something new, do good, respect and help others, building towards the success. Good thoughts, great actions, calm mind, wise knowledge, being truthful, be independent, disciplined, having beautiful soul are all progress.

Respect yourself, love everyone, have a kind nature. no attitude , no pride for success. Always have an approaching way and thrive for more humble-full success and achieve the greatness.
