Do I Need a Website for My Business? (6 reasons)
Check out why digital experience is a must-have for every business.

Nowadays digital experience is what every business should worry and care about. Research shows that more and more people use websites to engage with businesses, as almost 4.5 billion people are wandering the online world each day. Technology is accessible to almost every corner of the Earth and is developing at an unprecedented speed. So what's that? Are we inevitably rushing into the world described in the well-known WALL-E film? Honestly, I do not know. But what I do know for sure is that in case a business wants to succeed, having a digital presence is a must. Here are 6 valid reasons why your business needs a website:
1) Professional look
If you want your business to be considered as a professional and reliable entity, then people surfing the web should find you very easily. There are businesses that can consider having social media channels to represent their business only. These can be very small stores, selling craft handmade products, or some small businesses which are focused around one individual person. However, in case if the business is operated with the aim of constant growth and prosperity, then the business must be visible and presentable in the digital world, competing with others to be presented to the users in the most professional manner.
2) Closer than ever
Merriam-Webster and Dictionary.com have chosen pandemic as the 2020 word of the year. No wonder, as COVID forced almost everything and everyone to incorporate new changes in their lives. If having a digital presence was a great advantage, nowadays it is a necessity. If you do not make your business more accessible during these times, your business will probably decline over time, as competitors will take over your beloved clients.
3) Be unique
Having only social media accounts limit your business as it eliminates a good portion of a chance to differentiate your business from others. Having your own website gives you an opportunity to emphasize your brand identity in the most efficient way.

4) Beat Goliaths of the industry
Decades ago beating multi-million dollar companies was an almost unachievable task. Today, the digital world provides almost equal opportunities for every business in the world regardless of the industry. Being unique and accessible is easier than ever. The only major component is to be different and find your niche in the market. Website and digital experience is the tool you need.
5) Start from small
Certainly, every entrepreneur aims to have the greatest product for their business, starting from the working equipment and ending up with the brightest brand identity. But my experience in the web design and development industry shows that although you want to have the best from the beginning, limited resources shouldn't stop you from starting from a very simple one. The point is it's better to start with something and then gradually improve what you have reached the desired results. It's better to start just with a landing page than having nothing, adding one page after another during some time.
6) Accessible than ever
SEO is a more long term investment than social media advertising. You can boost your FB account or post for some time but the effect will be as short as your budget. SEO on the other hand requires a one-time investment in a great website and cheaper improvements over time, which will eventually attract more users.
Here is a bonus point for you: there are pages that would be great to have on every website, particularly: "About us", "Service/product page", "Contact form" (accessible way to contact your business).
