What It's Like To Be
From postal worker to film producer, what is it like to do what you do?
Intro
First off, I'd like to introduce myself. My pseudo name is Savvy Shades. I'm not gonna start at the beginning. I'm going to start with a real-life story. I think back to my time as a service member. At this point in my career, I was single. I was an athlete. I was looking to make more money while in the military. Contrary to what a lot of people think, military pay isn't that much. Yes, they provide things like healthcare, housing, travel. No one ever asks nor inquires about what YOU give up in order to receive those benefits. You give up you. You lose your freedom of speech to name one and you forfeit the others. Okay, that's enough, let's get into this housekeeper thing.

A Shred of Decency
I am a filmmaker. A storyteller. When I came across this amazing story in November of 2018, I immediately started to adapt it for the screen. This is a story of life among the chaos of death in December of 1944. A few young soldiers are saved by the universality language and care of kindness and love. As a writer, many times these characters just start whispering in my ear, touching my heart.

Where to Start? Being a Writer Turned Vlogger
As a writer, it's important to harness every aspect of content creation and digital marketing. If you can do it and learn how to do it well, it'll benefit you in the long run. Since I did a fair bit of video editing in my student days for fun, I decided to give vlogging a whirl. I'm still pretty new to it and learning along the way, but I do have a few beginner tips to share.

5 Ways Working Retail Can Make You Hate the Holidays
1. You hear the same songs over and over. Every retail store has a certain playlist that plays on repeat 24/7. But as soon as Halloween is over, that playlist turns into a Christmas playlist and you either hear songs by Mariah Carey or some guys from the 1950s. At some point you find yourself singing the songs even though you don't want to. Other times you're just doing your job with a soulless stare and a nosebleed happens. The worst part about the holiday playlist is that it plays for November AND December. Then you start to hear it in your dreams.... "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" distantly echoing in your sleep... you can't escape it.
