9-5 in the digital age
Why living working 9-5 is outdated, obsolete and always has been

Hi, I'm a 20 year old still trying to figure his life out, so why am I attacking the way of life almost every person has been living for the last century even though I still haven't and refuse to live the 9-5 life? The reason why... simply because, I'm surrounded by others who think and live that life. I'd summarize it just to do it, but the image says it all.
When I said "that life" I'm not talking to or about anyone with disrespect. I'm talking about taking control over your life, to live it on your terms. So, to the point. But not attacking anyone, just adding awareness to a cause I'm passionate about because I want people to use their gifts and make a difference, not working for someone and making them richer on their turf, but creating your best life on yours. To be aware.
My family is like any other, both parents work that life, stressed everyday, barely paying off the bills, that deal. Sucks a lot, working hard, living life others think is best for you because that's what they were taught, it's a pandemic, not just the life, but the thinking. If you're a 9-5er and want to call me out... look up 9-5 on the internet and come back to read if you want to. If you enjoy working 9-5, good for you, no disrespect. This is just for people who don't want to live that specific life, that's all.
I went through high school, had the same boring schedule, you get the rest, except for one thing, I called out that way of living the moment I chose between going the same route and picking the road not taken, cliche? I know, true though.
A few years later, still figuring out what I want to do. First it was creating video games, I like how they're made, then movies, like the way they're created... to a point. Now... due to my own view of life, from personal experiences, what I enjoy, and the life paths of others, etc. Thinking VR, or an arrangement of the sort, like I said, still figuring it out. But I have a unique point of view on the way I see life, you don't need to be on this planet for 50 years to know about society, just a perspective, and willing to see both sides to the coin.
When you think about people who either left a mark, or are leaving one... who comes to mind? Albert Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi, Charles Darwin, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, to name a few. All live/lived and made a mark, not working under someone else making their dreams come true, but their own. Drastic name mentions? Drastic subjects come with drastic measures, to help prove a point.
I see a few similarities to these people. First, no one expected them to change the world, or have the impact they had. But they did make change, they did go against what most would consider crazy or just unreasonable. But, what is logically unreasonable is living like it's groundhog day, but so very obsolete. It's a way of living that's hard to go against because most people grow up in that same environment. I'm not talking literally speaking, I mean ideologically speaking, go to school, get good grades, have some nice friends, don't get into trouble, go to college, get a decent job, marry good, get a car and house, don't take risks, it's too risky. Pop out a couple of babies, live below your means, save every penny tell your kids to live the same and that's that. It's a debt trap. An average of $300,000 down the drain just to live like everyone else. It's an estimate so take it with a grain of salt and don't take it literally. It's simply an example of how 95% of the population live because the 5% are making roughly 95% of the money want them to live so they get richer and richer and the 95% get poorer and poorer, and the news is just an outlet for mass manipulation. See how I went from the "title" to mass conspiracy? I do my own research which is why I have a say in this particular subject. If you don't believe that, compare the average net worth of the 5%, and see how much you make compared to them. Not accusing anyone of anything, just letting you see the proof for yourself.
So I'm challenging an entire way of life on a platform designed to allow creators create and make passive income. Vocal is literal proof that working hard for money every hour is complete nonsense, and if you aren't at least a bit persuaded... I'd say that's just, I really can't think of a response. Having literal proof in front of you, hard evidence and still not believing the truth. Then stop reading.
For anyone who does believe what I'm saying, whether you're convinced or already do believe me... I applaud you. But it shouldn't be very difficult to believe. The truth is all around you every day.
So if you are the type to go on YouTube, Facebook, any social media website, people designing websites and apps such as this one, send out ads so people can join. Out of most ads that are obviously very annoying, ads that point you in the direction of websites such as Vocal are doing you a big favor. Due to the purpose of these applications and websites, you are given the opportunity to make an income, whether that be passive, or active. You can simply search up the seven different types of income streams on any search engine if you'd like and do your own research. There is no right answer, no exact way of doing any one thing, or just the right person, or people to confide in. In this day and age, learning is not difficult... per se. It's a matter of what you love to do, what your current state is in any and/or any state of your life, and what you choose to do. There's obviously no one right answer, but it's best to know or figure out what you want to do with your life, know your resources, connections, and know yourself well enough to plan things accordingly and, one of the most important things, take some level of action, whether that be to journal your thoughts, read a page of a book your interested in, talk to someone about helping you, and/or getting a job.
If you're thinking what I'm thinking of right now, this reading is about why the 9-5 is obsolete, so why should I get a job? Why is he recommending a job? Firstly, I was against getting a job when I couldn't get the whole don't work a 9-5. I'm on Facebook, was very active, and met someone who helped me see a way of understanding why working at a job could be a good thing. She said, see working a job as a tool, save the money to invest it into something that will generate another source of income. In a way, that's a sort of positive power, using resources (you may or may not like) to your advantage. It's a journey, to living a life you'd enjoy, as much as the pros look, there's always going to be cons in the mix, not fun, but the outcome, if planned accordingly, can definitely pay off in the long run. A long term investment can go a long way, but short term helps too. Don't forget the short term, use every tool to help you the best you can, or at least what you can use, but try to use what you have to help you either way. Like I said, it's a journey to get to where you want to go, but enjoy the present as you go and do your best.
Active or passive... don't let anyone tell you it's easy, because nothing worth getting is easy work, at least most of the time.Everything requires work.
So if you think you can't get there, from where you were, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and Bill Gates started from very little, but they did the work. By the way, they each invented/created works that solve problems. Take that into account. But know what you want and why you want it/need it. Simon Sinek Start with Why and Know Your Why, your welcome for the recommendations.
One last thing for now... being wealthy is hard... but so is being broke. Choose your hard.
Thanks for reading it to the end, I appreciate it. It's not a popular topic, I know. But don't take it the wrong way. If you want to contact me about this, my email is [email protected]
