5 Ways to Get Noticed Faster As An Actor!

Most actors think that they'll get discovered when they move to big cities like NY or LA. They say things, “I'm going to move to LA or NY and get an Agent along with a Manager.” Or “I will work with the best acting coaches in the city so I can book major T.V. shows and Films.”

That is a great plan but that won't work now a days because there are millions of actors that are trying to break into the industry and are trying to be discovered. Now these actors have great training but no credits to show for it.

Actors are lazy, you want to know why?

Because they are not scheduling their time and they are not organized. For an actor to be successful they need to get up early in the morning plan their day and start hustling to get to where they want to be.

Let me help you! Here are 5 ways to get noticed faster:

1. Connections

When I say connections, I mean following up with the people you've worked with before or getting connected to new people in the industry. Don't ask them for a job but you can ask them for referrals or you can ask them how they are doing today? You can also ask if you can meet up with them casually or you can send them gifts, etc.

2.Workshops held Casting Directors

One of the best ways to get discovered is by participating in a CD workshop, but my advice to you before you take this tip and apply it, be well prepared for a cold reading. Make sure that you are ready to take CD workshops.

3. Help Out Even IF It's for Free.

Help your actor friends by reading their scripts and give feedback, work as a PA on set or at the office, give your acting friends a referral to your agency if you can. Do all this because you want to. Also, you receive what you up out into the universe.

4. Social Media.

One of the fastest ways to get discovered is by posting regularly and being consistent. You can use any of these platforms YouTube, Instagram, Tiktok, Live-stream, Podcast, Twitter and more. Learn the algorithm and analytics of each of them to increase your views and followers.

5. Start Creating Your Own Content.

By creating your own content, you will open a lot of doors for yourself, and it's a higher chance to get exposed to CD, Producers, Writers, and you’ll never know who else. If you can't write hire someone to write a small sketch for you or ask your writer friends for help.
