This is not the way things always used to be. Some stars faced very harsh scrutiny and had their names tarnished when soft-sell magazines and even credible newspapers, which were the major source of information back in the day, published damaging claims about them. Once out, it's very hard to clear up a rumor even in today's world. Imagine how it was back then. Once the media painted a narrative about you, that was it and it was very hard to convince people otherwise about that image. That is what happened to actress Cossy Orjiakor and as she is saying now, she was NEVER able to recover from that damage.
