Without Bad Luck, I Would Have NO LUCK AT ALL
Only And Always Angel

When it comes to bad luck, I would have no luck at all. An analogy always associated with me...as well as "Always Angel" these type of quirky sayings have always made its way in my life. It makes me wonder if the universe truly has it out for me. I am at the budding age of 48, mother of three and yes, you would think I have myself together. Well, that is truly not the case. I make it in life out of hard work for others and no dedication to myself. I never understood what, in my way of thinking do I find this "hamster on a spinning wheel" process a good one. But, if it ain't broke, dammit don't fix it is my Golden Rule!
I move with life. I please others, and what do I have to show for it? A freaking over-priced rental home that I can barely afford to live in and an SUV that is over 15 years old. My SUV stands for: Still Using Vigorously. It is a wonder that the 750, 627 miles has not given out. I mean the vehicle literally coughs as it sits at a signal light and then has the nerve to jerk almost seizure like as I take off. This constant battle with this vehicle has gotten to my last nerve. That nerve that has been on reserve for such a time as this! I decided to take my humble and standing in fear of being used $500 savings...(don't judge me for not having more saved) and tried my luck with getting a newer car from one of those vending machine for automobile companies. I did not think I would be able to get one with my luck, but hell, let's have at it!
Success! I was given the opportunity to get a newer car. I chose yet another SUV, this one however stood for: Some User-friendly Vehicle! It was unbelievable to me because I did not know a car could be so user friendly. I was not used to what the upper echelon calls high-polluting. This car had all the bells and whistles and I did not know how to make a freaking perk of my lips to whistle so my sound could be heard! I was so ecstatic about this car! I could not keep my hands off of trying to already indulge it in maintenance. Unfortunately, my dealings with my meager and humble beginnings led me to believe I needed to be on my repair game! I purchased everything applicable to this vehicle, with money I received from doing errands. Well, here is where things went completely left, The vehicle was shipped to me from New Jersey and it apparently had a history I was not ready for.
I purchased seat covers to ensure I kept the car in pristine condition. While trying to install the coverings, there was a fight to get the cover over the head rest in the back. I fought and fought to make sure the cover was fitted. I had to remove the actual head rest. When the fixture was removed from it's housing, there were several rolls of paper that seemed to be the reason the headrest did not want to level out. I took some pinch pliers to remove the tight rolls of paper. there were several that were being pulled out. To my surprise, this vehicle came with $20,000! I nearly fell out! I was purchasing the car on a month- to-month note and the total amount of the vehicle was $19,000. I had landed this car for free and doubled my savings unbeknownst to me! Talk about a change of luck!
The money was not of course in my State recorded as lost, so I had been able to keep that which was found! Can you imagine having this change in luck?! I had to quickly write down my experience in my journal. I have always kept my notes, dreams, and adversities in my leather bound black notebook. She actually has a name. Yes, my notebook is a she. Her name is Dreem. I keep this journal because one day if I do not write my book, one of my kids can take my notes and complete my entries and publish on my behalf. I wrote in my Dreem about the money found and how my luck had changed. I sat, looked through my notebook while drinking a cup of coffee feeling accomplished.
As I thumbed back in Dreem reading some of my earlier entries, I was taken aback by an entry from 2004. The entry read...."one day, when I stop being a fool and wishing for good, I will get a new car, find a stash of money, and be able to publish my book from my winnings of 20, 000 from a local writing competition".
