Why Me and My Boyfriend’s Relationship Will Last Even Though Celebrity Unions Are Crashing - Phyna

Over the last couple of years, we have seen a significant increase in the number of celebrity couples who are calling it quits for one reason or the other. Just even in the last couple of months, we have seen a number of high profile relationships crash, and as can be expected, this kind of thing can be very demoralizing for many people.

During a new interview with TVC, Big Brother Naija Season 7 Level Up winner Phyna was asked if the crashing of high profile relationships scares her, if she will ever date a celebrity, and what she thinks of faking it till you make it. Here is what Phyna said.

When asked "Can you marry a celebrity?" Phyna responded:

PHYNA: Yes oh! It's actually a big vibe. Power couple things. It's nice. Celebrity - Celebrity, it's nice. At least they both understand what they are doing. They both understand the business, they know what's up. So when I tell you I'm busy, you will understand that I'm busy. But if I'm with a normal person now and I tell you I'm busy, it will be "Wetin you dey do?" You just need to be on the same table with someone who understands what's going on.

"A lot of celebrity marriages have crashed. Aren't you scared?"

PHYNA: Well, it is because most people front the celebrity life. I for myself, when I'm with my boyfriend, I don't even look like a celebrity. In fact, I don't even talk celebrity. I am like me, like a normal girl. So it is when you now start bringing in "I do this, I am this, I am that" in marriages and relationships of celebrities, that's when they start having problems. But if you can just try to make your own marriage or relationship seem more like normal people with normal lives, it's going to be successful. We have celebrities that are in successful marriages right now. I think that's what I feel will work and it works for me.

"What's your take on the general saying: 'Fake it until you make it'"

PHYNA: Na them know wetin them dey fake. Even fake life now don cost pass real life. Who dey fake am? It is stress. How can you be faking it? Money wey you go spend take fake life, if you use am calm down, you go dey enjoy your low real life enjoyment. So fake it till you make it is really really nonsense to me.
