"Why Have You Not Taken Your Child For Prayers?" - J'odie Responds
J'odie responds honestly

Singer J'odie is responding to a well meaning but insensitive comment an evangelist made on her social media page, and honestly, the exchange is serving as a learning point and an eye opener to many people who have either had these same kind of questions upon seeing differently abled people, or who just are generally curious to know if the parents of these kids have taken their children for prayers? Here is what J'odie said when somebody asked her a question of this nature in relation to her own child's condition.

The whole thing happened on social media when a user by the name of Evangelist Kelvin asked singer J'odie a question saying:
We have so many pastors with healing grace in this country, why have you not taken your child to one of them. What God cannot do does not exist.
In response to the question, J'odie wrote the person back saying:
J'ODIE: Mephibosheth: Grandson of King Saul and son of Jonathan, Mephibosheth was disabled in both feet. Despite his disability, King David showed him kindness and allowed him at his table for the rest of his life. LEARN TO BE KIND!
And then wrote as a general advice to people saying:
J'ODIE: Even the Bible states that love surpasses speaking in tongues and moving mountains. Dear parents of special needs children, don't let people like this push you spend your life, running from pillar to post - love your child in peace.

After the exchange, another person wrote J'odie in defense of the initial questioner saying:
It will surprise you guys that this person made this comment from a place of sympathy but the mode/way of presentation is wrong
To that, J'odie explained saying:
J'ODIE: You are actually right, but it is important for people to understand that such words can cause negative ripple effects. Not every blind will see or lame walk, and their mothers should not be blamed for that

What do you think about what J'odie said and about this whole exchange?
