When Worlds Collide

The means to an end of what we know

By Britt B.Published 5 years ago 3 min read

He did not know what to do.

Should he stay, or should he leave.

His wife had been gone for weeks now. She left to build a sustainable homestead, away from what was condemning the whole country.

She believed the future was in the rural areas. Places where she would not be so easily reached. Places where there were no overcrowded, stifled minds. A fresh start, with more space for expansion on her ideas of sustainable living.

She was a knower and a doer. She knew everything would happen before it even came.

However, she did not let them infiltrate her mind. Instead, she created a new reality.

One without dread.

One where the world, in all of its natural beauty, would no longer be abused.

She often asked him, “who gave humans the right to destroy the land? Who?”

He loved her ideas, but he could not let go of the “concrete jungle”.

What he thought was prosperity, was slowly destroying him.

Everyone, who knew, was fleeing the cities to create anew. Something she had divulged to other people who were worthy.

It all seemed so foreboding and ironic, that the large city, was now infested with mind parasites.

It was simple to cut them down with a strong sense of self. Although, for those still searching and clinging to unobtainable dreams, they were wreaking havoc.

Some went clinically insane. Some were creating terrible acts of violence, causing more anger within the parasites.

Clarity was getting ruled out.

He had been working closely with his colleagues in moral psychology. Trying and attempting to teach people what they should already know, but it was all falling on deaf ears.

He kept to himself and made no eye contact with others he did not know. After COVID-19 the rule remained to keep social distancing. The new idea was to stay disconnected from others, until the parasites had taken all the “harvest.”

He would not have known this, if it wasn’t for his wife. She connected to something bigger, she always was. She had nightmares, dreams, cold sweats, invasive thoughts and imagery. Things she saw in the dark were almost unimaginable. To her they all spoke and they were very enraged.

She kept a heart shaped necklace filled with some kind of fluid. He never asked her what it was, but she did mention it kept her safe, from “them.”

His connection to his wife, was something most humans had not yet discovered.

His wife taught him how to dive deeper into his subconscious to speak through her dreams. Something that was extremely helpful. The phone towers had been destroyed. It was initially the catalyst for them to enter the minds of the unknowing. The government was no longer allowing any use of electronics, but that did not stop others from creating their own structures to communicate.

The upside to this, was that there was little information for people to disrupt their mind and create narratives of victims. Even if people were dying in the streets, it was not unnecessarily impacting the lives of others.

The “people” that were there to clean up the mess were an interesting bunch. They seemed other-worldly. He could hear gunshots from his high-rise, look down, and see the mess that others were creating. Within seconds the perpetrators were being ripped through a dark wormhole. These “people” looked like humans, but they had access to something that no one knew about. There language was not human, it was like listening to a highly perplexed audio distortion.

He would say, it was almost enraging, to be a clinical psychologist in the world of his current science. Then witness something that defied everything he knew.

His work was now hitting a wall. Most likely due to all the noise in the inner city. He knew it was time to make the move and reunite with his wife. Even though he would no longer be able to access information through his colleagues. He could look at things from a fresh perspective, to find a better understanding.

All he did was care about humanity. He just needed the perfect algorithm to fix the current mental state.
