What My Wife Whispered to Me After I Won Big Brother - Kellyrae

This year's edition of Big Brother Naija came to an end on Sunday with housemate Kellyrae emerging as the winner of the season. He came into the house with his wife Kassia and upon winning the show, the couple had a moment of reconnection. Now, in a new interview with Channels Television, Kellyrae is revealing how he feels about winning the show, and also opening up on what Kassia whispered in his ear after winning. Here's what the new Big Brother winner had to say about it all.

Speaking about if there was ever any point he thought he would win the show, Kellyrae said:

KELLYRAE: There was no point I thought I was going to win. But every week that passed, my confidence grew. At some point, in my head, I was like okay, I've done a lot. I at least have tried. If I leave now, thank you God. But first week, I was scared. Second week, I was a bit scared because in my head, there are two things: you either leave with something or leave something behind. And so in my head, I was thinking if I leave first week, what am I leaving with and what am I leaving behind? Do you get? But after first week, second week, I was okay. "God, you will fight for me, if I have to leave, fine." At the end, I was surprised when I got to last two. I was shocked, I won't lie.

Speaking about what his wife Kassia whispered to him after he won the show, and how he feels about the 'strategy' of them hiding their relationship, Kellyrae said:

KELLYRAE: Honestly, if you watch my diary sessions, I told Big Brother that I had no idea what has kept me in the house. Because I didn't know what was happening outside. Even till now sef, I still don't know. I don't have my phone yet. I have no idea what has been happening outside.

My wife just whispered some things in my ear that "omo, we are loved outside o" but I still don't know the magnitude of love we have. So people might call me and Kassia not revealing that we were married strategy, but for me it wasn't strategy. I did it because I wanted real connections, real friendships. And that's the reason why I didn't tell them that Kassia is my wife. Do you understand? It's not like I wanted to do it because I felt like it would take us far or make us win. I wanted people to connect with us as normal housemates.
