"What If We Could Shrink Humans? How Would the World Change?"

An Extraordinary Idea: Can Shrinking Humans Save the Earth? "How Reducing Human Size Could Solve the World’s Problems."

By UsamaPublished 8 months ago 3 min read

"I have a unique idea in my mind. I believe that if we reduce the size of humans by half, that is, 50%, we could solve all human problems and population issues.

How can we make humans smaller, cut down their size to 50%? Is it even possible? The answer is both yes and no!

Let me explain. A human being is not a machine that can be modified in size. For example, in the past, computers were so big that they could fit into an entire football ground, but today, in the modern era, computers can be as small as the size of your pocket."

"Is it possible to do this through science?

The answer is yes, definitely it is possible, but not through mechanical means. I don't believe that in the future, there will be any machine that can shrink humans. Therefore, it is not possible through mechanical engineering.

So, what is the magic wand that can make this possible?

The answer is: Genetic engineering. Yes, you heard it right! Through genetic engineering, it is possible for genetic engineers to identify the proteins responsible for maintaining human height in DNA, and then reduce the quantity of these proteins by 50%. For example, if the average height of a person is 5 feet 6 inches, reducing this by half would result in a height of 2.8 feet. Yes, you must be shocked too!"

Benefits of Shrinking Humans: Resource Savings

Imagine if a car that previously could accommodate 4 people could now fit 8 people after shrinking humans by 50%. This wouldn't only apply to cars, but it would have a similar impact on every aspect of human life. For example, a person who used to consume 4 slices of bread for a meal would now only consume 2 slices after shrinking.

Environmental Impact:

By reducing the size of humans, the environmental impact could also decrease because smaller humans would use fewer resources, thereby reducing the strain on Earth's resources.

Population Benefits:

By reducing the height of humans by 50%, the population issues could also be resolved. For example, if 8 people previously lived in an apartment, smaller humans could easily accommodate 16 people in the same apartment.

New Problems After Shrinking Humans

Yes, unfortunately, this is true. If humans shrink, everything we have built, all the grand buildings and structures, will change! The things we use today will become completely useless. After shrinking, all the infrastructure will have to be rebuilt to accommodate smaller humans.

Is Humanity Ready to Shrink?

The answer to this is a bit more complicated. No one would want to shrink or look different from the rest of the population. People generally wouldn't be willing to be smaller or stand out in this way.

Can the New Generation Be Prepared for This?

It's very difficult, because no one would want their future generation to be like this! The idea of shrinking humans and changing their physical nature is not something most people would readily accept for their children or future generations.

If Scientists Make This Possible, Will Humans Accept This Proposal?

Yes, some people might be open to it, especially those eager to be part of the new era. However, the number of people willing to undergo such a transformation would be very few!

What if 20 or 30% of the World’s Population Became Smaller?

Humans are generally slow to accept change. Most people would not treat these smaller individuals well, and they would not feel comfortable with this transformation. This could lead to a major rift, and humanity might find itself fighting once again—this time not over territory, but over something as fundamental as their physical identity. It would be a strange and unsettling conflict: who would be considered "right"? Who would be judged as "less wrong"? A war, not of weapons, but of perspectives and ideals.

Though this scenario may seem odd or even unsettling, it is important to remember that after every dark night, there is always a brighter dawn.

This was just an idea I had in my mind. Now, you can name it as fiction or a story, but the thought-provoking aspect remains, doesn't it? Wouldn’t it be intriguing to think about a world divided between small and large people? It’s definitely something to ponder over!
