What Don Jazzy Did For My Album 'Timeless' - Davido
Davido opens up

If there is one thing I love to see, especially amongst people who are doing well in any field, it is community, friendship, and support. Support and contribution in the music industry for example can come in a lot of ways. It can come in monetary form, it can come by jumping on somebody's song, by helping to co-write a song, appearing in their music videos, helping promote the music, etc.
During a new interview with Capital Xtra, Nigerian singer Davido opened up about how powerhouse Nigerian music boss, Don Jazzy, contributed to the process of his latest album, Timeless. Here is what Davido had to say.

Speaking about how Don Jazzy contributed to the album by actually being the one to suggest the title, Timeless, as well as why he chose to use that as the album title, Davido said:
DAVIDO: Don Jazzy suggested the title Timeless. He told me like two years ago. He just randomly wrote me one time and was like "you should call your album Timeless", and I just wrote him and I was like "oh okay, I will". [He made this suggestion] before he heard anything. And so that was always at the back of my head and so I told my team like yo, we've changed names like fives times. So one of the names I put there was Timeless and then we chose another name before. And then like a week to submitting the album to the label, they called and they were like yo, we really think this Timeless thing could work. So I was like hmmm, I'm not really keen on the name, but okay let me see. And then they explained to me how over the years, my music has been timeless. Just like yesterday, me performing songs that I released eleven years ago and still having that crazy reaction. That is crazy. Some of those people in that crowd yesterday were born in year 2001, 2002. Some of them were nine years old when I first dropped music. So it's just like for them to still be enjoying that type of music. Even the new Afrobeats fans that still go back to listen to the old stuff and still enjoy it. So we were like yo, that is Timeless music. And so we want that feeling of in 20 years from now, this same album that we're talking about, we still want it to be giving people that same feeling.

Wow! I didn't even know that it was actually Don Jazzy that suggested that album title. It's good to see all these people supporting themselves in all these different ways.
