VeryDarkMan speaks against Mercy

VeryDarkMan is speaking against Mercy Chinwo and the video she made against her record label boss Eezee Tee. In his analysis, VeryDarkMan lists 3 issues he sees in her video. Here's what he said:

VERYDARKMAN: Mercy Chinwo, see this video I'm about to make, a lot of Nigerians will not like it because it has to do with one of their favorite gospel artists. You understand? So ah, Nigerians will vex for this video, but the ones who are very critical in their thinking will see what I am seeing. If you go back to watch the video, you'll notice everything I'm about to show you now.

Now, throughout last week, I think it was last week, Mercy Chinwo, the gospel artist, and her record label boss had an issue. She came out and made a video, talking about how the guy threatened her, bullied her, and did everything to her. Right? When I watched the video and read the comment section, a lot of people were just sympathizing with her. But what I saw was totally different. I went through the whole video, and all I saw was lies, deceit, emotional manipulation, emotional blackmail, and pretense on her part. I will point out the things that I noticed.

Before I say anything, let me tell you for free, I am a church boy. I stayed in the church for close to 10 years. So when I tell you that I know gospel artists, I know them 100%. I stayed in the church for close to 10 years. One thing I will tell you people for free, just to open your eyes, is this. Most gospel artists and people who are generally in the gospel and Christian space, especially when they are popular, lie a lot. They pretend a lot. They fake a lot. Just take it from me.

As a matter of fact, if you place a gospel artist and a secular musician in front of me, I will choose the secular musician to make heaven over the gospel artist. I promise you 100%.

Now, the issue between Mercy Chinwo and her record label boss is what led to the video. But while watching it, I noticed a lot of things. Let me point them out.

First things first, you see this video she made? If you watch it closely, you will notice that they did break and quench. They cut and joined the video more than 20 times. That means they recorded this video at least 15 to 20 times, doing different takes.

From what I am seeing, there was a director involved, instructing Mercy Chinwo on how to act. Someone was telling her, Mercy, you need to cry. You need to appeal to the emotional conscience of the people watching you. That’s 100% what I am seeing in this video. Because why else would they cut the video in multiple places and piece it together?

Now, it's not a bad thing to edit a video to make it precise. But here's the problem, when someone is expressing their emotions, you don’t cut and re-record. Emotions don’t work that way. If you cut a person while they are expressing emotion, it breaks the mood and the authenticity of the moment.

So, to me, these people came prepared. They sat down, planned the video, and when it was time for her to cry, she cried.

If you go back to the video again, you will notice that even after she cried, the initial part of the video was brought back and added towards the end. So the tears part was cut in half. If you listen to her words, they were also not aligning. There was break and quench, but that’s by the way.

Secondly, I noticed another important thing. She said that her former record label boss took her to court first, then she presented one paper. From what I’m seeing, it does look like between Eezee Concepts and Mercy Chinwo, it was Eezee Concepts that actually took this to court. But when I looked at number 4 of the prayer, it says that sometime in early 2022, the respondent approached and requested ownership of her music catalog. Other artists, such as Nathaniel Bassey and Chioma Jesus, had their music catalog returned. It took time to educate her on that.

So, basically, what I understand from this is that Mercy Chinwo walked up to the record label one day and said, I want my music catalog, which was a problem because record labels don’t give you your catalog. Call Don Jazzy, call all the biggest record label owners in the world, they will tell you they don’t give the music catalog. That’s what even caused the problem between Mohbad and Naira Marley. That was their major problem. But that’s by the way.

So she's saying that this person took her to court, but it seems like she tried to pressure him. From what I'm seeing now, she tried to pressure him into giving her the music catalog by a lot of means. Maybe the guy felt pressured and believed there was too much influence behind her, which is why he took the matter to court. This is my observation, it might be false. Do you understand?

Now, on the issue of forgery, Mercy Chinwo mentioned that there was forgery. I don’t agree that there was forgery based on the evidence she presented, because forgeries are usually perfect. You won’t even see a mistake in a forged document.

What I’m seeing doesn’t look like forgery. It looks like there was a mistake in the documents, and they tried to correct that mistake. And after they corrected it, it seems like Mercy Chinwo and the record label boss were both present. That is the only explanation for the two signatures that are on this document, dated the 5th of September 2017.

Now, if you look at it well, it looks like they initially wrote 2015, and when they realized the mistake, they corrected it to 2017. That’s what I can see. It might not be true.

If there was only one signature, it would make sense. But the fact that there are two signatures makes it look like what happens in the bank. You know when you go to the bank, fill a teller, and make a mistake? They will tell you to sign over it. This is what I feel happened here. So this does not look like forgery. You can’t say it’s a lie, but this does not look like forgery at all. It just looks like a correction. So this one again is off. This one looks like a lie.

Now, the last part. You see the part where she was bringing in Jerry Eze, saying the guy does not like Nathaniel Bassey, and that he went to pay money for people to say the baby looks like Nathaniel Bassey? That is emotional manipulation and emotional blackmail.

Because when that thing was trending—when people were saying the child looks like Nathaniel Bassey—I remember that they arrested someone. Did that person confess that it was this guy who told him to do that? And during that time, why didn’t Mercy Chinwo come out to say it was him? Why is she saying it now? And does she have proof that it was him who actually paid bloggers to post that her child looked like Nathaniel Bassey? That’s another thing.

Now, where I fear Mercy Chinwo is when she brought Jerry Eze into it. What was Jerry Eze doing there? One thing is certain—Jerry Eze has a large crowd of Gen Zs and new-generation people who love him. So by bringing Jerry Eze into it and saying, oh, he doesn’t like Jerry Eze, obviously, there’s no witness for that. She is trying to make it sound like, oh, me and this guy were always together when he said he didn’t like Jerry Eze, so no witness is needed. By confirming it, she is painting this guy as someone who hates Jerry Eze, so that all the people who love Jerry Eze will turn against him.

All this analysis I am doing is based on the video Mercy Chinwo posted, and that video was too perfect for me, which made me see faults in it. I’m sorry, a lot of you will not be happy about this video, but it is what it is.
