Ginkgo Ginkgo
The moon is a strange plant, and the moon is a night when the tree is twisted with overlapping vines, and the wind blows through, and the shadows sway lightly, and there may be a slight sigh in the dark shadows, or maybe it is just the sound of birds flying in the night.

A true love story always has bumps, realizations, and hard times
I have been sitting here for about 3 hours working on a story. I have started, restarted, deleted, and then started again. I have too many ideas I am attempting to put into one article when it is more.

You're Letting Your Hypocritical Friends Walk All Over You
I'm the survivor of a hypocritical friendship. I got out of the friendship before I too turned into someone I didn't like or couldn't respect. And I exited once all my faith this person cared about had vanished beyond return.

My Most Anticipated Movie of 2022
As someone who became an Austen fan (or I should say obsessed, crazy fan) relatively recently, this was the first movie adaption that I followed throughout the announcement of the movie to the actual release date. When I found out that they were making a new Persuasion movie I was most excited, especially because Henry Golding was going to be in it, but when I say my heart hurts after watching just the trailer- I'm not even kidding.

How I Met Your Mother
Let me take you back to the first week of September, 1993. I saw this girl during orientation week at university. We were on a school bus on the way to a bar for a drink fest (this was back when schools allowed and even sponsored these sorts of things). She was standing in the aisle, one hand on a seatback, the other pushing her hair behind her ear. She was talking with her friends, or maybe just some random people, it was hard to tell. She looked happy though.

What should loving yourself mean for you
Loving yourself is vitally important, but it's also a process that takes time. As much as we'd all like to say that you can magically transform into someone who loves themselves overnight, the fact is that loving yourself takes time and effort—and it's not easy. That being said, if you're struggling with self-loathing or self-doubt, there are ways to bring more love into your life and start seeing yourself in a more positive light! I'm here to share with you some of the ways that I've learned over time have helped me learn how to truly love myself better each day.

The April Fools: A hero's journey
I am one of the lucky survivors of the expression "boys will be boys." One of the most poignant sayings ever coined, this little gem includes, but is not limited to, a wide range of hormonally induced, reckless, self-imposed ordeals masquerading as rites of passage. Most if not all of these ordeals can be dangerous. Indeed, that is the whole point. In mid-April of 1981, my best friend and I concocted one of our most extreme ordeals during an unseasonably hot and humid four-day stretch of weather.
