You know, this one hurts. I had been a fan of Chris Rock for over 25 years; the "Lil Penny" commercials, SNL, his movies, his stand-up specials, you name it. I was a huge supporter of Chris Rock. Thirteen years in the exotic dance, strip world may have left me with emotional and physical scars. But, what it mostly left me with were stories. Tons of them. Funny, sad, frightening, and eye-opening. Being the only stripper I knew who traveled with a Remington portable typewriter in my costume case, I recorded many along the way. The rest I know by heart.

A Love Letter
Dear You, I more than often would catch myself staring at you wondering how I caught you. I must have tricked you somehow, I must have put on some illusion that was better than the real me. You ask me why I stare at you, and I always respond with “I just like looking at you,” but it’s so much more than that. I used to remind myself over and over again that I would find someone who loved me and would be with me forever; that there was no need to long for love, cause it would come. Now, I would look back at my younger self and say, “I told you so”. That moment is here, it’s been here all along. I know I didn’t trick you or fool you into believing I am someone I’m not. It’s truly me and I love you and you love me.

Influences and Inspirations
Hey Everybody! Thank you so much for checking out the stories and engaging with the world that I’m making. This has been super fun for me to experiment with writing creatively outside of the music space. After working so hard on these short fantasy stories, I wanted to take a step back and do a more personal exploration of where some of these ideas are coming from, some of my inspirations and some of the stuff that I really like. Some of these things I talk about in this post may not seem like they connect to the fantasy world of Randos I’m creating or my music but these are the things that I enjoy and make me who I am creatively on some level.
