An African survival story
What is construed as glamourous in our everyday lives? Is it the perfect photograph splashed atop a story. Or is it the content written within the story. The poignant and true pictures of the real lives of a people who struggle for existence, the people whom we cannot begin to comprehend their daily battles for survival. A simple life of relative comfort to some, would seem like a kings palace and a banquet feast to many of our brothers and sisters around the world. Some who have to fight so hard for the providing of a few morsels for their daily bread.

Dear Beerbelly Cheesecake: We're Just Fine, Thx! XO, Stella.
As I walked out the front door of our house, Curtis charged right after me, his mouth was as wide open as his jaw hinges would allow. His tongue wagged wildly and his lips never seemed to touch each other as he yelled at full volume.

Surely with the rise of super hero movies, I am to believe that most of society also admires bravery. Though, it looks very different from Batman knocking out criminals in the night. Bravery for most of us, is a subtle choice in a moment that may really only be noticed by ourselves.

Full Circle. Runner-Up in Passing Ships Challenge.
We pull up to the curb of the school yard, in the same spot we always do. Her friends are waiting at the edge of the property for her. They're a huddle of pre-teen excitement with long strands of hair swirling around them in the wind. They spot my blue car a mile away. As we approach, they inch closer to the edge of the school boundary, waving and smiling; A greeting she has received every day for as long as I can remember.

Allowing Slow Days In Social Media Society
We live in such a fast paced world, working every spare hour, seeing family and friends, education or other learning, perfecting your hobbies, skill building and then self-care, usually while catching it all beautifully, to share on some timeline or feed.

Still a Romantic
Tonight I was thinking about the last few years and how I started my journey of divorce with a vague idea of what I wanted in a partner. I wanted someone who was kind, compassionate, comfortable with their sexuality, patient, trusting, supportive, intelligent, humble, and had an adventurous spirit. Pretty much all the things I was lacking in a partner. To some degree I hadn't seen all of in one person by then either.
