To the One Who’s Trying Allah Sees You

Sometimes life feels overwhelming. You wake up with the intention to do good, to pray, to fast, to wear your hijab with confidence, but the challenges keep coming. You struggle to keep up with your prayers, or you feel judged by others for your modesty. You want to please Allah, but sometimes your own heart feels weak and tired. To you, I want to say: Allah sees you. Every single effort you make, even the smallest, is noticed by Him. You are never alone.

Allah tells us in the Quran:

“Indeed, Allah does not do injustice, [even] as much as an atom’s weight; while if there is a good deed, He multiplies it and gives from Himself a great reward.” (Surah An-Nisa, 4:40)

This means even if you feel your deeds are tiny or imperfect, Allah rewards you abundantly because your intention was sincere.

It’s okay to struggle. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, while there is good in both.” (Sahih Muslim)

Strength doesn’t mean being perfect. It means continuing to try even when it’s hard. It means choosing modesty when society pressures you otherwise, praying when you feel distracted, and turning to Allah in your weakest moments.

For those of us who wear the hijab, it can sometimes feel isolating—especially if people don’t understand our choice. But remember, your hijab is a crown of dignity. It’s a symbol of your love for Allah and your commitment to your faith. It protects your heart and honors your identity. When you look in the mirror, remind yourself: “I am beautiful because I am obeying Allah.”

It’s also okay to ask for help. Islam encourages community and support. Reach out to sisters in your mosque, your family, or online groups of reverts and Muslims who understand your journey. Sometimes, just knowing someone else has felt the same doubts or fears can give you strength.

If you stumble—miss a prayer, feel overwhelmed by life’s tests—don’t despair. Allah’s mercy is greater than all our mistakes. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

“Every son of Adam sins, and the best of those who sin are those who repent.” (Tirmidhi)

Turn back to Allah with a sincere heart, make dua, and know He loves to forgive.

Here are a few gentle reminders to keep close to your heart:

Your efforts are seen and valued by Allah even if others don’t notice.

Your faith is a journey, not a race. Take it one step at a time.

Every prayer, every kind word, every good intention is recorded as a blessing.

When you feel weak, ask Allah for strength, and He will grant it in ways you cannot imagine. You are part of a beautiful ummah that supports and uplifts each other.

Dear sister, your struggle is your strength. Your patience is your beauty. Keep striving in your deen, keep loving Allah, and never forget—Allah sees you. Your effort is never wasted. Your sincerity is your crown. And your reward is with the Most Merciful, who is closer to you than your own jugular vein (Quran 50:16).

May Allah make it easy for you and keep your heart firm. Remember, you are cherished and loved beyond measure.
