While it may not be easy to confront these truths, we must not forget them. Selecting to forget history may lead to our eventual repetition of it. Through our study of the darkest history we obtain valuable lessons to awaken our compassion toward mankind, defend equality, and implement world peace.

1. The Holocaust: The Cost of Hatred and Silence
