"Fuck" Amina said quietly to herself. She had just flicked the cigarette it took what seemed like forever to bum from some old guy on the bench at her bus stop. It was raining so the mostly smoking cigarette was already wet and ruined. She was broke and since cigarettes didnt just fall from the sky getting one could be difficult. It was cold, the sky was grey and the sun was nowhere insight. She stood at the bus stop trying to blend in she didnt even have any money to get on the bus, she just didnt know where she was going or what she should do. She just wanted for a moment to feel normal and blend in.

Aminas life had recently and very very abruptly been completely turned upside down, inside out and fucked off to say the least. In the blink of an eye she went from being stable, good job, nice house, car and friends she thought would always be there. Until she discovered her best friend had been sleeping with her soon to be husband. This was not a fling, or an oops we were drunk type of deal, this was a multiple year, lie after lie scandal. So how did Am ina end up alone homeless and broke when she was the one that had been backstabbed and fucked over? Well Alison her best friend was the definition of vindictive, and was the type of woman who instead of owning the fucked up shit she did, would ruin you and your life for ever going against her. So naturally when Amina exposed Allison to her boyfriend Drew who was also Amina's soon to be husbands brother (talk about twisted plot). Alison literally turned every single person in Amina's life against her one by one, even her own family. Amina had watched Alison due it to other poor unfortunate souls in the past, but never did she imagine one day it would happen to her. How could she of been best friends with the devil herself. Amina took a deep breath pushed back the tears, shoved her freezing hands in her pockets and began walking down the street destination unknown.

CHAPTER TWO

Amina only had three days left at the hotel she had been staying at, and after that she would literally be on the streets, she was scared. she had never felt so alone. She somewhat had a friend in this guy Cody she met while staying at the hotel. Cody was definitley interested in Amina, however she did not feel the same. Cody let Amina know she could stay with him and his sister if she needed to... she did not have to need to. if Amina would of been in Calaring where she had lived for the past 12 years she would be able to move around quicker she would know where to go. Amina left the city she called home to escape the constant harassment and evil games Alison was playing. She hopped on the Grey Hound and went as far as 19.95 would take her, and that was about 4 cities away called Trident. Trident seemed decent enough it was a quaint little town, lots of fancy vintage type of shops downtown, the streets were lit up with bright Christmas lights, and at night on Main Street you co considering.

Amina figured she needed to find a welfare office or a catholic church that offered help to people well people who needed help. "Jesus Christ your fucking kidding me" Amina said out loud when she saw that her phone battery only had 6%. What was she going to do now. She needed her phone to look up addresses, and use the map to guide her since she had noa clue where anything was. She leaned her head back and let out rather loud annoyed grunt. "One of those days for you to huh" a mans voice said from behind her. Amina spun around. " you and me both little lady, you smoke" asked the salt and pepper haired man on the bench. He was probably in his late 40's his clothes were somewhat neat but you could tell he was cold like he had been outside a long time. But his face seemed friendly. "oh yes but Im sorry I dont have any cigarettes" Amina said embarrassed. " Well lucky for you I have a whole pack, would you like one" The man asked as he extended the open pack of cigarettes. Amina was thrilled, she needed a cigarette badly. " Wow you are a life saver" Amina said with a thankful grin"Thanks alot" she added as she took the cigarette. "need a light" the man asked pulling out a lighter. " Yeah thanks... sorry I know im a mess". Amina said again embarrassed no cigarettes no lighter she felt humiliated. "no need to be sorry we all been there, my name is Vinny" " Nice to meet you Vinny, my name is Amina". Vinny took the glove off his right hand and extended it out towards her, she took her hand from her pocket and shook it. " So what had you grunting like a bear a minute ago" Vinny asked with a chuckle. Amina's faced turned a shade of pink she almost forgot about her loud annoyed grunt she belted out moments before. " oh shit sorry you saw that" Amina said looking down. "My phones going to die any minute, i have no clue where shits at around here and..." Amina could feel the tears forming in her eyes, she was overwhelmed and scared and had no one to turn to. Before Amina could say another word Vinny spoke. " Your not from around here are you" "Well no not really why" Amina asked kind of suspicious. "You carry yourself a lot different from the ladies around here, dont worry thats a good thing" Vinny said in a matter of fact tone. " your real clean so you cant be home less, whats your story" Vinny said scooting over motioning Amina to take a seat on the bench. Amina sat next to Vinny she was quiet a few moment as she stared in the distance. " Well Vinny my life seems to have completley come undone, I have nothing I have no one, Ive lived in this city for a total of 4 days, I dont know where Im going or how to get there" Amina was shocked she had said all she did to Vinny, she was usually very guarded she didnt trust people so she really wasnt the sharing type, but in that moment she couldnt help herself. What did she have to lose.
