The lost gift...
Recognizing the importance of something only after losing it is a common experience...
Meet Melody and Bella, childhood best friends. Melody just transferred to this new school and that's where she met Bella. Bella was very impressed by the uniqueness of Melody and immediately extended the hand of friendship. Although Melody was initially resistant, they unexpectedly became very close in a short period of time. For context, Bella was practically a school bully, while Melody was the complete opposite. Nevertheless, their friendship rapidly grew stronger despite their differences.
Melody and Bella had contrasting personalities. Melody was a diligent and reserved student, while Bella was energetic and outgoing. Despite their differences, they shared a strong bond. Bella often came to school seeking enjoyment and the company of her best friend, as she faced a difficult home environment where her mother would scold and physically punish her for minor mistakes. Consequently, Bella struggled with anger and resorted to bullying and aggression at school as a way to cope.
Bella used to play pranks on kids and have disagreements with teachers, but during their lunch break, they would have heartfelt conversations. They would share personal stories, and Bella even confided in Melody about the scars her mother had given her at home. Bella would tell everyone at school that she got the scars from playing outside, but she was honest with Melody, explaining everything to her. Melody was a reserved person with a simple outlook on life. She prioritized her studies and grades but cherished her strong friendship with Bella, knowing that Bella always had her back.
During the school picnic, Melody and Bella got into a heated argument over the window seat on the bus. Despite agreeing to take turns sitting there, Melody refused to give it up on the way back, causing Bella to get upset. Their argument escalated into a fight, and although Bella eventually moved to a different seat, they stopped talking to each other.
After successfully completing a challenging academic period, Melody received a call from her friend, Bella, who expressed a desire to meet at their usual spot during lunchtime to have a conversation. Bella highlighted the significance of addressing their issues and reconciling their friendship. Melody and Bella met, expressed their apologies, and then exchanged a lighthearted gesture to mark the restart of their friendship.
After nurturing their two-year bond, their class relocated to the second floor of the school. This transition brought new students into their midst, leading to changes in friend groups. Despite these changes, Melody and Bella's friendship remained steadfast and continued to thrive. As they embarked on a new school year, they found themselves in a different class with new teachers and, not surprisingly, found themselves becoming interested in new crushes.
Bella developed a crush on a classmate from a different section, and she confided in her friend Melody. However, Melody initially didn't seem very interested, assuming that it was just a passing infatuation on Bella's part. Little did she know that this crush would have a significant impact on her own school life.
In her efforts to get the boy's attention, Bella tried different approaches, such as arriving at school early and attempting to get his attention, even involving other classmates. She even invited Melody to join in, but Melody, being a class monitor, was concerned about potentially getting in trouble with the teacher and damaging her reputation. Despite Melody's reluctance, Bella and her friends persisted. After a few days, the boy complained to the teacher, resulting in Bella receiving a lecture in front of the whole class. Despite this, Bella remained undeterred. The following day, she endeavored to find alternate ways to capture his attention without involving the other students, while also maintaining a positive impact.
After a few months, the guy approached her and explained that he wasn't interested in anyone or anything. Bella seemed unbothered by his statement and made a point to annoy him whenever possible. Melody consistently tried to advise Bella on the possible consequences of her actions, but Bella paid no heed.
The following year, the guy was transferred to a different school, and Bella decided to follow suit. Melody was unaware of this, but Bella shared the news with her during the annual day. Melody seemed disinterested once again, stating that she would miss Bella, and the annual function came to an end.
Neither of them realized that it would be the last time they would see each other, as they were just kids and didn't understand the impact of their separation.
As time passed, Melody faced challenges adjusting to her new environment. She missed the friendly interactions she had with Bella, such as sharing lunch breaks and casual conversations. This longing motivated Melody to seek opportunities to build new connections and foster a positive work environment.
Lessons :-
• The aggressive behavior of parents can have a significant impact on a child's mental and physical well-being. Some children may find it challenging to express their emotions, while others might inadvertently release their emotions through negative behavior, such as bullying, as observed in the case of Bella.
• Relying solely on others is not advisable; it's important to cultivate multiple friendships. Take Melody, for instance; she had only one friend and felt lonely when Bella transferred to different school.
• Recognizing the importance of something only after losing it is a common experience. Melody didn't fully appreciate Bella, but her absence helped Melody realize Bella's true worth.
