The Burning Desire

This was a divine love affair that was forbidden from the start. As they sipped a glass of Merlot looking into each others eyes. Even though he had not even touched her she could feel him caressing her with every word that he spoke. He was speaking to her inner soul.

With every breath she felt like she was being caressed by divine touch that burned her flesh. She watched the candles flame with the Merlot in her hand. Listening as he spoke as it lit a flame within her heart. She could see the light flickering it was pure and through it she could feel the love flowing through it. It was like the light took away any pain and all fears.

It was the most beautiful perfect romantic setting you could have ever imagined. The candles lit, a nice warm fire going and the beautiful scenery of the mountains covered in snow. Table set with the finest china, a bottle of Merlot chilling in the bucket. The music soothing to the soul that you could almost lose yourself in it.

It was exactly how she had imagined it would be, but never in her wildest dreams could she imagine how perfect it felt. The flowers through out the room. As he slipped his hand across the small of her back to whisper in her ear, she smiled so lovingly.

He had whispered " I have loved you for the moment I first met you, it feels as if we have known each other our entire lives." No one had ever made her feel the way that he did. As she gazed into his eyes she stared at him with unconditional love for she knew his past, she knew of all the reasons not to love him but could not pull her self to run and leave him.

As they sipped the glasses of Merlot gazing into each others eye's it was if you could see a sea of endless love no matter what trials they faced had they knew as long as they had each other nothing could destroy the bound they were forming. She felt completely safe, loved and protected.

As he reach out to her he kissed her beautiful lips it was like the whole universe revolved around the two of them. As the other people in the resort watched them they could not see anyone but each other. The mountains and the fire was so joyous and blissful.

Everyone around them could feel their divine love and unity. It was as they were dancing they were one flowing together without a miss step. As they danced he caressed her back ever so slightly letting her feel his loving touch. He looked at her and without even speaking he told her how much he loves her.

In that moment he wanted her to release all of her earthly fears and doubts, to embrace the love that he was about to offer her as he kissed her lips passionately holding her tighter against his chest. The two of them had forgotten anyone else was in the room as they danced only looking to each other.

As the music ended he led her back to their table pulling out her chair and leaning to kiss the lower back of her neck. She tells him she never wants the night to end and smiles as she touches his hand. As they finish their last glass of Merlot he ask her to join him for the evening.

The two head to cabin where there is already a fire burning and a little picnic set up in front of the fire place. There was a basket filled with strawberries, cheese, crackers and wine glasses, He had excused him self to retrieve another bottle of Merlot.

As she waited for him she could feel her heart beat rising she knew this was a forbidden love affair, that they were only to be strangers in the night. She had considered running out the door and fleeing, but was afraid he would follow. She could not tell him that her heart belonged to another that she was married. She wanted to tell him she had lied about her name that her marriage was loveless that he took all her fears and doubts away, but she sat in silence waiting for him to return.

As Rob prepared the bottle of Merlot he was trying to find the courage to tell her that her husband had paid him to take her out. Her husband had known for sometime that she was unfaithful but was never able to catch her so he plotted the perfect love affair. Rob had never imagined that he would fall in love with her.

As he joined her by the fire, he poured them both another glass of Merlot. He held her in his arms kissing the back of her neck telling her how absolutely beautiful she was in the fires light. He asked her how he had been so lucky to have find a treasure that would forever steal his heart. As they laid there he remembered the plot and than looked at the time.

He stood up quickly yelling at her to get out, she argued back that she did not want to leave she had never loved anyone the way that she felt with him. He told her that is why you have to leave I love you too I took a job your husband plotted to catch you in an affair. I love you to much to betray you. He screamed again" run now before he catches you."

As she ran out of the cabin she felt her heart sink, she knew he had saved her but in the pit of her stomach she knew she would never see him again or feel burning desire in her heart that he had made her feel. She wondered if it was all in act now at this point, was it just for the money that he made her feel that way or did he truly desire to be with her.

They both knew it was a forbidden love affair, that all they would have is the memories of that night. The glasses of Merlot, the mountain view, and the warm tender kisses that they had exchanged. Neither of them would forget that night it burned a passion deep within both of their hearts,
