Books made me a better person
I fell in love with reading when I found myself unable to use my voice. I was eight years old when I came to Montreal, and I found myself surrounded by strangers who spoke a language I never heard in my life, let alone knew. I had heard of French, but the sounds that were coming out of everyone’s mouth seemed so alien that I became mute. I cloistered myself in silence as I put up walls to protect myself against the foreign noises.

Want a Life Full of Inorganic Laughter and Massive Amounts of Hidden Sadness? Become “Party Trained!”
I loved my “I’m Party Trained” t-shirt and wore it with so much pride! It was always the talk of the evening as its hot pink letters would sparkle if the light hit them right! The words beckoned for attention, just as I did, outlined boldly in white, dancing across my tits as I would roar with overexaagerated laughter! Man, did I think I was hot shit, and cool as f*cking hell! And I suppose, to some of my friends slamming back the Coors Lights with me, I was.

November 7, 2021
Well, it was a busy day today. Of course, with the time changing, we always wake up way before the alarms go off! It is useless for the time change. Come on, keep it on one and leave it alone because it messes people up! Anyway, as usual, on Sundays, it started slowly and progressively got busier. We did $2853 today, and it went rather well; with the crew, she had with her this morning. When you stop and think about the number of sales that you do throughout a seven-hour shift. Although, it does make the day go by faster when you are busy with work.

On the Shelves
Proud moment over here! What you are looking at is the first retail location to put my book on the shelf 🎉‼️ So I started this adventure many, many, many, moons ago! When I was in my mid teens I enjoyed the book series Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. It was the first time I realized that I could laugh from a book… a book! I laughed, smirked, giggled and yes, even laughed out loud (which made it kinda embarrasing in class lol)

Book Review: The Council of Animals
The Council of Animals Nick McDonell 2021 Fable 193 pages When my brother suggested this book, I knew immediately I would read it. Understanding little about its premise, I trusted my gut and reserved it from the online CWMARS directory, which connects 155 libraries in Central and Western Massachusetts. Within a week this little ditty showed its cover at the Clapp Memorial Library, and I was off to the races.

The Day The Stars Fell
Emmie grew up listening to tales about the television stars her dad met through his job as a carpenter and stagehand. She eagerly waited for her dad to come home from work each night to fill her in on happenings behind the camera. How she longed to meet some of those famous people. Just meeting one would make me happy, she thought as she’d drift off to sleep each night.

5 Amazing Benefits of Reading
My husband has a habit of luring me into video games, which he avidly likes to play in his spare time. As a writer though, I always find an excuse not to play video games but read instead. I find reading stimulates my brain just as well as playing video games, if not better.
