Dead Birds and Funerals
The two little J sisters walked hand-in-hand into our backyard on a bright sunny summer morning. They were maybe six and four years old, pretty little girls with long blond hair and wide blue eyes in matching floral sundresses. They lived around the corner and across the street. I was surprised to see them.

My Three Pet Peeves…
I detest driving. Honestly I do. I don’t know about the driving experience in other states, but for where I reside…it’s a NIGHTMARE. It’s one I try to avoid as much as possible. Unfortunately, in order to gain the most out of life I need to drive to events of my liking. For all those road riding enthusiasts, you may be questioning my abhorrence towards the four wheeled adventure: “What would have had to happen to a person to change their attitude towards the freedom offered by a four-wheeled vehicle?” Well, aside from the constant fear of accidents and falsely issued citations, an explanation is due.

How To Get Instagram Followers - The Ultimate Guide to Growing Your Brand on Instagram
What is Instagram? Instagram is a photo-sharing app where users can create and share pictures, also known as “Instgrams”. Users can incorporate text and filters, which allows them to create a visual story with their images and add captions. The app is available on almost every platform and device, making it accessible to almost anyone, even if they don’t have access to a computer or smartphone. Instagram’s popularity is on the rise, and many brands are realizing the value of growing their presence on the platform. Why? Because Instagram is a visual social media platform, appealing to a much wider audience than Facebook. With billions of photos shared each day, it’s an ideal way to drive brand awareness and attract new customers.

Renaissance Festival War Stories September 24/25, 2022
Continued from week 5 September 24/25, 2022 Fall This is the first weekend it's been a little cool out. I get to wear my cloak and gloves out of comfort and not necessity. There's a level of pacing and rhythm that is found by sixth weekend. Our team has found its comfort in each other. We are a harmonized group. Are things perfect? No. They never will be, and that's okay.

The answer to insomnia
Have you ever noticed how quickly a cat (or a dog for that matter) falls asleep? They lay down, close their eyes, and within no time they’re off to dreamland. It doesn’t matter where they decide to sleep, whether on a bed, in a chair, or on the floor, dozing off is no problem whatsoever.

Nervous Breakdown on Aisle Six
If there is one place most adults visit on a regular basis, it’s a grocery store. Depending on where you live in the United States or even outside of our country, you likely have a preferred destination for your grocery shopping needs.

Renaissance Festival War Stories: September 18/19, 2022
Photo by Jas Weight Continued from week four... September 18/19, 2022 Five Dollars I have mentioned The Dregs in previous posts. They are a local, legendary renaissance band with nearly as many former members as Spinal Tap and just as many infamous songs. Saturday evening, exclusively for those who have secure camp ground clearance, they perform their show known as 'Dregs After Dark.' Because the festival is work for us and play for everyone else, this is their chance to do a show for those of us who don't get to see them during the run of the season. Last year, I missed it; this year, I didn't want to. Nestor and I head up after supper to catch the show. We were late and, the show had already started, and all the benches were already full. We stood back and enjoyed the show.

Modern-Day Mix Tape
For me, I travel through time and space through music. Music is my time travelling companion. The force that opens the portal. It is and always has been music. I am able to be moved from here to there most easily through what I hear. Music is how I travel through time. Music is my first love and my last love. I have had many loves in between where it started and where it will end, but it always has been and always will be music for me. My one true. That and Jesus, which goes without saying but I should say it. Considering Jesus loves music. "Don't be a prude- not when it comes to music" is something I think I have heard him say....
