8 Very Little Things That Tell You More About the Person
Humans are by nature very different from one another, and this makes human understanding very difficult. Therefore. How can we know who we should keep in touch with and who we should avoid? Although we put different masks on our faces while exposing ourselves to others in everyday life, we cannot avoid expressing some small but important advice for our personality. People give us a lot of information about them without knowing it, by revealing little morals. The only thing we have to do is look at these little things, but what are these little things? In order to better understand people, we have prepared these little things that can tell you a lot about a person:

Dear White Women: The Patriarchy Isn't Your Friend.
Talking about ethnicity, what some people term as "race" these days is such a hot topic button. EVERYONE seems to be triggered in one way or another around the topic of ethnicities. Caucasian (white) people seem to be at the centre of most of these conversations with other POC tribes. That's not surprising given the daily Caucasious (that's a made up word) inappropriate behavior we see from some white men and women. Sometimes, I truly feel they go looking for trouble in certain circumstances, which I chalk up to two main triggers. They are either being triggered because they truly are racists or they are being triggered because on some level they feel attacked and are looking for a way have their voices heard. Because all of these people who engage in this behavior are not emotionally healthy, they do not know nor care about constructive ways to have discourse with people they may not agree with. For them, they would rather take the passive aggressive way out by inciting some sort of confrontation, ranging from verbal abuse to physical violence.

Kingdom for the Homeless
I never thought I could be faced with this sort of circumstance during this stage of my life. I have never felt this broken, this hurt, this betrayed, this lifeless. It is very funny how life has a way of performing its duties. Sometimes our expectancy turns into discrepancies that we issue for the next time we are involved in the same predicament. We tend to envision life as a roller coaster. We regard the ups and downs only when we know its coming. But when we are suddenly struck without caution, we give up and lose all hope in ourselves. My name is Naomi and this is my story.

Throw up on me
I guess I'm chopped liver, chew me up and spit me out because you don't like the taste of me. It's unreal how you make me feel, like to be needed is something I should erase, because being needed doesn't always have a place. But I guess your teaching me that with your simple actions. You'll tell me things like; " Talk to me regularly like I am your friend not like this is an interview and you have to dress to impress." "Throw away the best version of you. Give me your worse, your nagging, your pain, your drama, your shame." Now you can give me this feeling x10 and make me wish I didn't love it. I know I'm not in love with you, but love you, yes I do, or maybe I just love what you make me do or how you help me better understand myself as a person and not just the help. I am the help, the giver, the slave of being used, and you know that and yet, won't allow me to, it kills my every nerve when I have to stop in my tracks, so everything your giving to me I will have to give it back. Regurgitating your trust issues, your famine of love, your indecision and your guilt, baby Im sorry if I puked on you, but these chunks represent us in ways more than you'd know. Talk to me and send it all flying out like a tidal wave.

Wait, I’m Hispanic?
I always knew I was born in Chile, but as a young and innocent child, I didn’t understand the concept of race. I didn’t fully comprehend that I was different. So while I always knew I was born somewhere else, I didn’t really know I was Hispanic.

Where do I Belong?
I am a 27 almost 28 year old mixed female from the Bronx. All my life I've struggled with where I belong or the ethnicity I most identify with. I'm Puerto Rican, Italian, and Black. Born in Wisconsin raised in the Bronx since the age of 2. I never felt like I've fit in with anybody from grade school to high school to college to making friends at work and outside. I was not Spanish enough for the Hispanics, too dark and too hood for the white people, and too light for the black people.

Enjoy Your Trip
“He’s awake. He’s awake.” Thw doctors say as I open my eyes. I notice I am in a hospital on a bed and start to have a grasp of reality again. The bed is being pushed to a room where I see my mother with police officers most likely getting “ma’am it’s not looking good talk.” Now if your asking yourself how I got on that bed heading to that room. Let’s go back to where it all began.

Black Americans vs. Black People
I had never heard of Americana prior to moving to the United States in 1998. While I definitely understood that there was a distinct American culture, I had no real revelation of it until I actually lived in the States. To truly understand Americana, it is my personal belief that you need to fully engross yourself and be submerged in American life. You need to work or go to school in the US, pay taxes to the US government and be eligible to vote. When you are “living the American dream,” this is where you get to witness the phenomenon that is Americana in action.

Time is Commodity
Time, the driving force behind this rat race we’re all in. With the advent of progress, like the railroad schedules, time became a commodity that could easily be dissected to a point where the days have apparently shortened. If not, we seem to have less time to do what we really want to do. Mankind has successfully managed to control time with schedules. Ultimately, they imprison us. So, the question is, will mankind ever find the key to time-travel? Space-travel was discovered in the 20th Century. They say time-travel is a possibility in the 21st Century. Until we are all enlightened by the discovery of time-travel, the greatest invention in the history of mankind, the airplane is my time-machine.
