For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
2021, The Year I Found My Heart
How do we identify who we are? I believe most of us have a mental hierarchy of the things that make us who we are. Our jobs, our passions, and what drives us. I have a sneaking suspicion that many of us are not living our most authentic, meaningful lives. The state of the world, especially amidst this global pandemic, has left so many people struggling, living day to day.

A Request for Father Christmas. Top Story - December 2021.
Dear Father Christmas, I understand that you are very busy at this time. Fitting as much as you can in your sack in order to fly around the world and provide joy and love to all the children of this world. The problem for me is that not every child is happy. Families are broken and all across the face of the earth, people are crying out in pain.

Inside and Out
Keep reading; It Gets Better Not too long ago, hope seemed lost. I searched endlessly for something to satisfy hedonistic urges that were impossible to satiate. The truth was in front of me the entire time, but I just kept going back to what I thought would give me solace. I found myself in this endless cycle of deceit, where it seemed inescapable. It's disconcerting to think that so much time had been wasted running back and forth between a false sense of satisfaction and the desire to reach a shadowy peak. But I never reach the top. Not again. Now I think that perhaps it wasn't a waste. At least I can talk about it now, with certainty that Iv'e moved past whatever phase of my life that was. The human condition is experienced in different ways. While sometimes, the bitterness of guilt eats away at present, causing life to pass by much too quickly, it is worth it to look back and know you can now use that guilt to your advantage.

A Moment When I Conquered Imposter Syndrome
At first, you think it’s just a simple lack of self-confidence. You think this can be fixed just by “changing your mindset” and that this can happen faster than a cat decides to ignore you. Eventually, you realize that there’s more to it than that.

I DESERVE
Realizing what you deserve can be one heck of wake up call in itself. It’s no easy ride , by no means. Will have you taking a personal audit of your life with others and yourself. It’s also realizing just because people are offering what they think you deserve , it doesn’t mean that you have accept it. That goes for your relationships, friendships, careers, your family, and even your life. You can’t elevate to new levels, with subpar, mediocre, and low standards .

Local Basic Income Explained
Universal basic income, or UBI for short, is a topic that constantly comes up in modern political discourse. What is it? Well, according to investopedia, "Universal basic income (UBI) is a government program in which every adult citizen receives a set amount of money regularly. The goals of a basic income system are to alleviate poverty and replace other need-based social programs that potentially require greater bureaucratic involvement". The idea of a basic income for all members of society goes back for centuries, even when it comes to recorded history. One of the most well-known works to include the idea of a UBI for members of society is the book Utopia written by 16th century English philosopher Thomas More. Many proposal vary in size and a lot of UBI programs are designed to work on the country or multinational level, which makes the program and attempts to calculate how much money is needed for each citizen somewhat difficult. However, there are some who suggest that UBI might work better if it is calculated on a more localized level to adjust for a local population's needs. That is where the concept of local basic income comes in. This form of UBI is focused around providing income for citizens on a level smaller than a nation or multinational union, giving people money on a village, city, distinct, province, or state-level. Village, city, or state officials decide how the UBI is calculated and decide how to provide resources to members of their community.

Enjoy the Holiday Season and Throw Stress Out the Window!
This year I told myself I wasn’t going to get caught up in all the holiday hype. As I’ve grown older, hopefully, wiser, I’ve learned a last-minute mad rush to buy the perfect gift, or risk being told off by someone in the parking lot because I mistakenly took their place, or their toy, isn’t what Christmas is about and in the midst of Covid, I might add.
