humanity
For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
There’s No Time For “Oh For Crying Out Loud!” Moments During a War
War is stupid and heartless. Such conflicts punish the wrong people. People like us. Non-combatants who are doing mundane things like picking up a few grocery items, dry-cleaning, or taking our children to the dentist.

Vladimir Is Not The Problem! Let me start by giving recognition to Vladimir. I give credit when it is due with plain honesty. Remember that recognition acknowledges a deed or involvement that an individual contributed in a given area. Vladimir, you should be ashamed of yourself, and if your mother is nothing like you, she carries greater shame and disgrace to be associated with an entity of your kind

To: Princeton Board of Admissions Entry Essay – Personal History of Racism in America Malachi Holder Speaking about my own history on a topic such as this, racism, is eating the elephant to say the least. Without a doubt it made me think, and deeper than I though I would. Being a straight, white male, I may not have have the proper insight to really dig into the topic, the learned experience, so-to-say, to really offer valuable input or analysis. Still, I do have some learned experience, and the more I think about the topic the more I realize I may have something to add. You see, the history of racism, my history, is a double edged sword. It has certainly effected and molded my life, flavored my likes, language, choices, and friends. It also imbued me with intense guilt, especially throughout childhood. It taught me many things and made me a better person, even though my own personal history with racism tells me much if it is not what is seems?

Money, Manners and A Dream
It seems like nowadays you're either struggling to get by, or you have enough cash to laugh haughtily and wipe your face with hundred dollar bills. From my own personal experiences and people I know from the ones barely scraping by having multiple people sleeping in one room to a distant uncle who kept encouraging everyone to have shots of Patron and paid for a hefty restaurant bill while not even batting an eye.

An Open Letter to Peaking in High School
Home from Scranton this week for spring break (I know spring hasn’t officially started yet because there’s still no Rita’s but ANYWAY) this seemed to be the week high schools put on their musicals so I went to them, cuz why not? It’s a musical and it’s cheap.

Love is a beautiful thing when nurtured and observed in ample detail. It requires sacrifice, change, adaptation. It asks a lot of people, but for those who haven't truly shared a real love, then I ask you to follow along. You see, I'm no pessimist, in fact, I'm a glass-half-full kinda gal, but the love we hope for, you know, the portrayal of unrealistic, yet incredibly admirable romance in the movies, fails to mention the lethal parts of affinity. Although love at first sight, a miraculous thing really, is a lovely image we young people fabricate in our minds, fantasizing that it could be a reality one day must be, it can be deadly.

The Curse of Child Labour
Child labour has fallen by 38% in the last decade, but 152 million youngsters are still impacted, and the COVID-19 pandemic has made matters worse. Child labour is prevalent in many parts of the world, and it occurs in a variety of industries, with negative educational, physiological, and psychological consequences for children. Poverty, armed conflict, insufficient rules and regulations, social inequality, prejudice, and deep cultural traditions are only a few of the factors that contribute to child labour.

Hey
For those of you who don’t know me yet: Hey, I'm Jo. I'm stumbling toward Heaven. I come from not your average family. 3 brothers, 2 sisters (yes, all from one set of parents) and 2 sisters-in-law. At least one sibling in above. My best friends are my husband and siblings. And I adore my nieces and nephews.
