humanity
For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
Once Upon a Time
i used to be pro-life because i wanted a baby someday, and somehow they seemed connected. my dad was a bit weird, very brilliant and nothing i would ever want to mimic in a partner. but babies are babies, and i grew up in a “thing” and my dad raised me to be pro-life. i respect that. i do not respect him. i do not respect his idealogy. i never did, but feeling that way, and consciously changing what you DO believe are separate.

A break you take could change your life forever
Modern life is so very often dominated by routine and ritual, the little things in life that make the cogs keep turning and make everything seem normal. Without a ritual, routine or pattern in our life, a little comfort nest of the expected, we worry. We panic, we doubt ourselves, and that doubt manifests itself upon those you meet. Your relationships, your family, your friends and the strangers you share a bubble with on the tube or sidewalk all feel it, a difference, a negative difference. A disorder, a frantic unknown that drives you crazy yet you don’t know why. It’s a blank canvas without a starting line or a starting thought.

A Chance For A Choice: OPINION
In 1969, Norma McCorvey, other known as Jane Roe, a woman in her early twenties, wanted to terminate an unwanted pregnancy. McCorvey, who had grown up in difficult, destitute circumstances had already given birth twice and given both children up for adoption. At the time of McCorvey's pregnancy in 1969, abortion was permitted in Texas—but only to save a woman's life. As a result, some women have resorted to illegal, risky "back alley" abortions or self-inflicted abortions. According to The Guttmacher Institute, “the estimated number of illegal abortions in the United States in the 1950s and 1960s ranged from 200,000 to 1.2 million per year.”

Interracial Love
All my life, I have been told by my elders whom to love and how interracial relationships can be wrong. When I became old enough, probably about fifteen years old, I kept my opinions on this subject to myself and observed human behavior on how others were treated. I watched shows like My Wife and Kids, Moesha, and Sister, Sister.

The Weight of an Organ
This is where I will lose some of you, and understandably so, as it is a hot button issue affecting so many, but my goal here is to only remain surface level. I am trying to do you a favor and lose you in the beginning, so I won’t waste any of your time. I will say that I am not here to convince, persuade, or change any of your minds; I believe that only comes with doing one’s own research and detaching emotions from the subject at hand. OK, here goes nothing. Without getting into the nitty gritty of abortion rights and the recent overturning of Roe vs. Wade, I find it interesting that pro-life advocates often point to the heart as the flame, which they feel represents the sign of life that they are trying to protect from getting extinguished.
