The Bed.
The Bed Have you ever really thought about your bed? No, really. It’s not surprising that we have all been spending a lot more time in our homes and thus, a lot more time in our beds. Well, maybe not a lot more time in our beds. I guess it depends on the person.

Model Thula victorious apologies for exploding in public
That’s a first we hear and see Thula victorious not even caring about lockdown rules and regulations but what’s even more disturbing was that she started making noise when fans wanted to take pictures of her and young children playing close to her.

The Sweet Indulgence That Is Human Contact
Was there a time before lockdown when you had to give up something that you really loved for an extended period of time? I’m sure we’ve all tried some sort of restriction at some point or another, whether that be restricting sugar for a diet, restricting sleep because you’re studying for a critical exam, refraining from alcohol for a week…

One Hell of a Dame
And there she was. Beautiful. Nineteen years old and had never left the country. Plans changed and she was alone. So when she received an invite to ride through Europe on the back of a bike, it was an opportunity she couldn’t resist. With a freshly broken heart and a ticket to England, she had no idea she was about to embark on the journey that would begin the rest of her life.

Dependence and Independence
I frequently find myself struggling between wanting my independence and wanting dependence, too. It is my belief that we need a healthy balance of both. I want someone I can depend on. Someone who has my back. Someone to share life with. I feel I am hard wired for that type of connection. On the other hand, I also want and need my independence. My alone time.

Why Is That a Thing?
OK. I get it. Sometimes its good to be different. Dare I say, its even "cool." And I put the quotation marks on cool because although I'm just a sneeze from 40, I still epitomize cool. I ooze it. I embrace it. Hell, I still have swagger, don't get it twisted. But this new cool... I just can't seem to wrap my head around it.

Women's Suffrage
Today, I want to talk about women’s suffrage. No, I’m not talking about men, I said suffrage, not suffering. Women had no rights until 1839 when the Custody of Infants Act was passed. That gave women the right to petition the court for custody of children seven and younger and for the right to visit their older children. Until the Custody of Infants Act, custody of the children resulting from that union was always given to the father. Always! Think about that one for a minute.

Being Hispanic
In this day and age, it is sad to see people still having difficulty accepting different cultures. I am from Hispanic descent. My father and his family are from the Dominican Republic. My mother was born in New York, but her parents are also from the Dominican Republic. I was born in New York, but was raised there and in the Dominican Republic, so I was brought up speaking two different languages simultaneously, English and Spanish. My “native language” is both of them.
