Only the White Man Knows How to Grow Cotton
I’s wouldn’t a believed dis story either if I’s hadn’t lived through it myself. One minute I’s lyin’ between da tall corn stalks, a soft summer wind kissing my cheeks as da hot Mississippi sun beat down on da fields. Da next minute my world were turnt ‘round.

Liar, Liar
When people lie they do it for a reason. Obviously. And that reason? I don’t know. All I know right now is that the woman sitting in front of me is a liar. She is not qualified to do her job. I could report her but what good would that do without solid evidence? Also, I don’t want to be the one responsible for the department manager suffering from a heart attack. I can just picture the inquest into the COD (cause of death) - "Did someone give him a terrible shock?" No, I am not going down that route.

Dream Date
Why’d I ever agree to this? Oh right, because it pays. But still. It’s one thing to check your morality at the door- or online portal, in this case- and invent an elaborate system of justifications. “I’m just doing it for the money”. “Money I’ll put towards my degree”. Ya. Sure. And where, exactly, did you get that Gucci wallet?

Someone is Living in My Mirror
Someone is living in my mirror. Every time I look in it, he is there. And I’m not happy about it, not at all. For starters, he is always mimicking me! If I move my right arm, he moves his left; when I look to the left, he looks to the right! Very mature, you joker!

I should have known that it would be flooded at the end with the current of the river. I should have known!

BENEFIT EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN TABLE TENNIS

There are now countless books about this. At this point the topic is only touched on or the most important aspect of emotional intelligence is explained. Emotional intelligence means: 1. Recognizing your own feelings and 2. Reacting intelligently to these feelings. That's the whole secret. There are many feelings. In table tennis, however, we are particularly familiar with the negative feelings of anger, anger and helplessness, as well as the positive feeling of joy. Positive feelings usually don't cause problems. On the other hand, feelings that are experienced as negative can also have negative effects.

Zurai
She sat staring at the check; the edge peeking out of the notebook like the taunting tongue of a child. ‘He knew that would be the one I picked. “How?”, she mouthed quietly to herself as she shook her head. Well, no matter … She pushed herself up and headed to the shower; “I Am Grateful” she said aloud, and she was. Grateful for the opportunity to move forward; thanks to Nabode.

Clarity
Stefani lifted her feet to cross the threshold of the Clarity as she did twice a week for twenty-one years. The bar was not always called Clarity, but it had always been less than two blocks from her apartment. The previous owners sold the place, and the new owners rebranded. Stefani did not know the new owners’ names, but she appreciated that they kept everything the same. The blue paint chipping off of the doorframe bore the same cracks of time weathering Stefani’s face.
