The Hope We Need
The country was struggling and reeling over the deaths from the pandemic. The country was on the verge of chaos. The country was shaken but not in dismay. The country was disturbed but not divided. We could not take it anymore. We could not stand with dividers. We could not walk with lies and deception. We could not compromise the truth. And this was the perfect opportunity to bridge the gap, to bridge the divide and reinstated hope. My long journey with the prestigious Congresswoman came to a climax. We were bridging the gap. We were healing the wounds of the people. We were trying to liberate the people. We worked tirelessly together during the Dark Ages of American History. We fought side by side with ideologies and ideologies. We had hope. There were times of distress. There were times of worry and fear but we stood up to this side by side. I was her friend and she was my mentor. We were in this together. We had lost too many friends and been threatened too long. We came a long way. We crossed many bridges. We overcame too much. So many people have given up so much and so many friends have died in the fight and so many friends have suffered because of silience. It was time, not about emotions, not about hatred, not about feelings. But we were dedicated to the American principle, to the American ideologies that everyone was freed born freed and created equal. America we knew was better than this. Better than favoritism. Better than money. Better than wealth. Better than twisted ideologies. America is hope. America is love. America is peace. America is strength. And that's what it should be everyday in everyway forever. I put my trust into her. And she put her trust into me. We were good friends. I love brainstorming and she loved implementing. She was my leader and I was her friend. Though years apart, we stood in this together fighting the good fight for the justice of America. We did not waver. We did not back down even when the times were rough and we had to be tough. She carried the javelin and I carried the cross. We knew life or death, freedom was sacred and important to the essence of this world. As she rose, she did not leave anyone behind. She kept the spirit and she kept the faith. She was strong in wisdom and strong in actions. She was meant to lead and she was meant to win. She was meant to subdue and she was meant to conquer. And I was a support among many. And when she asked me to throw in the hat, I threw my hat in. Because patriotism was more than divided. Patriotism was more than ambition. Patriotism was more than opportunitist. Patriotism was life and a meaningful death. We have to set the liberty that abounded at rest. We had to do the impossible and by faith we did. We had to be stronger than our feelings. We had to be stronger than our hearts. We had to be stronger than our guts. Yes because it was war. it was division, it was democracy on verge. And she made me known to the leader of the free world who so faithfully executed justice and liberty for the healing of America. Moved by his passion for justice and ambition for prosperity for all. I sworn allegiance and sealed with this song, Hope, which has biblical roots and inspired by Langston Hughes. We cannot defer hope for hope defer will dried up like a raisin in the sun.
