Tattoo - Scorpion Rose
This is the story about my first tattoo, a lil scorpion with the stinger of a rose, a claiming of my body, my voice, empowering me through punk, music, art, magic and that all that’s a lil bit taboo. Living in the world authentically as myself, female artist, authentic and true.

The Boy with the Teacup Tattoo. Top Story - October 2020.
I have seven tattoos, but the one people seem most eager to see is the teacup on my ankle. They seem to appreciate the lengths to which I have gone to declare my love of tea. I do love tea; in fact it is one of my favourite things. However, this is not why I have adorned myself with its famed receptacle. And, no, it isn't because Ed Sheeran or Louis Tomlinson has one either. But, as it's quite a long story, I often just don't correct people when they assume as much. However, it's nice to have an opportunity such as this to explain the full tale.

Every Tattoo Has A Story
Greetings. So like this challenge says about inner growth or personal meanings behind tattoos. For a long time I would argue not all tattoo's have meanings. Some get inked up just because they like the picture or art work and want to wear it.. forever. This is coming from myself, a man who has spent 20 years deep in the tattoo game as a tattoo artist. I've worked with the biggest names, tattoo magazines, conventions and even invented a few needle configurations in my time. I at one time truly believed that not every tattoo has a meaning.

A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing
When I was a little girl, as most children, I was obsessed with fairy tales. Yet it seems fairy tales have changed throughout the centuries. They used to be cautionary tales to warn of the dangers in life; but now Disney churns out fairy tales primarily based on love. These stories romanticize how we view relationships; leading to dangerous ideas about how we view our love lives. I was raised on Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty. These stories filled me with a longing to find my own Prince Charming, no matter the cost.

My First (and Second) Tattoo
At some point in our first year of university, my roommate ("M") and I talked about getting tattoos together. Not matching ones, just going and getting them done at the same time. It wasn't until our third year that we finally made it happen.

No More Hurting
Eye don't know if anyone will ever KNOW how hard it has been to be this soft-hearted. But until the end of MY days Eye will do my best to show by example how much WORK Eye have done within these high walls by breaking them down to reveal a golden heART with an infinite source of unconditional love to give myself and everyone else freely, as there IS no limit to how much WE can create, when it IS done purely with the BEST of intentions because you knowingly know, it IS for the greater good, of ALL of existence.

A Transmasculine Tattoo Tale. Second Place in Tattoo Tale Challenge .
I can’t quite recall when I crossed the threshold from “guy with tattoos” to “tattooed guy”. There is a distinction, a sort of vague initiation into someone who is more defined by their ink because they simply have more of it than most people do. My body is decorated with ancient deities, esoteric symbols, and a menagerie of animals; in mostly black ink. The crowning jewel of my tattoo collection would go to the biggest and most colourful though. Covering my torso from chest to hip is a phoenix in vivid reds and yellows. It’s certainly eye catching, and my collection of crop tops increased 10 fold after getting it. My mother used to tell me, “If you’ve got it, flaunt it”, but I don’t think this was what she intended.

One Hell of a Dame
And there she was. Beautiful. Nineteen years old and had never left the country. Plans changed and she was alone. So when she received an invite to ride through Europe on the back of a bike, it was an opportunity she couldn’t resist. With a freshly broken heart and a ticket to England, she had no idea she was about to embark on the journey that would begin the rest of her life.
