A story to Teenage me
Growing up I had a mother who stayed home and looked after my four siblings and I. My father worked every day except the weekends. I remember my childhood as happy, full of great memories that I cherish today and until the day I pass away and most of all I was thankful that I had a mother, father and siblings that loved me, and I loved them. I remember my father coming home every night, watching the news, and telling us to keep it down as he could not hear the television. I still laugh about it to this day.

Love Disasters
Now nearing sixty, I finally can look back at all the serious romantic relationships I have ever had with an impartiality that never existed before. I think as I grow older I have indeed grown wiser as well. I always thought we never stopped growing as people as long as we continue to strive to make ourselves better for us and others. And I've had a lot of growing to do in this department as I've fumbled around a lot.

What An Argument With An Internet Stranger Taught Me About Conflict Resolution
A week ago, I got into an extended argument with an internet stranger. This dispute came after I shared an article about the popular animated series, Avatar The Last Airbender, in a popular Facebook fan group. The story was entitled "The Avatar Has Returned - 7 Must-Have Elements for the Expansion of the Avatarverse." For anyone unfamiliar with the series, Avatar takes place in a world divided into four nations in which each nation contains people who possess mastery over one of the four elements (water, earth, fire, air). This information is necessary to understand the context of the argument, which went as follows:

Working for Tomorrow
Evie looked down at her phone in the back of the small, rustic-style downtown pub she worked at. She had been working for 7 hours already, long for a waitress on her feet all day, and just got a text from Shay that she's sick and can't work her shift tonight.

I Didn’t Know I Was Being Abused By My Boyfriend
One of my biggest failures in my life is staying in a relationship with someone who was making me miserable. He made me feel like crap for a good part of our relationship. He would always be comparing me to other girls, calling me dumb and boring among other things. There was always something to complain about with him.

Generational Roads, Roles, and Curses.
A fact about us we often don’t realize is that a great deal of who we are is not in our control. We didn’t choose the people, places, or things which had a role in our conception, and much of our existence is thanks to someone else’s thoughts, feelings, and labors. The fact we exist is nothing less than a miracle when you think about it. When you think about all the right amount of wrong, the wrong amount of right, and all the little details that had to take place for you to even be reading this right now, it must break your brain as much as it does mine. So, if you’ve made it this far and feel like reflecting on the past, present, and future, and every little and big thing its made of, let’s get going.

Change Bad Habits To Good Ones And Greatly Improve Your Life
“Good habits are worth being fanatical about.” — John Irving Where do we get our bad habits? Throughout our lives, we acquire habits, some of them bad, some of them good. We pick up these habits in many different ways: from practice, observance, training, and influences (such as hanging around with the wrong kind of people — the ones who are a terrible influence on you). I’m sure you can think of other sources for developing bad habits.
