　　During the Ch'ing-Guan period, there was a horse and a donkey in a mill in the west of Chang'an City. They were good friends, the horse pulled the cart outside and the donkey pulled the mill inside the house. In the third year of Zhenguan, this horse was chosen by Master Xuanzang to set off for India to get scriptures via the West.

　　Seventeen years later, the horse returned to Chang'an carrying the Buddhist scriptures. It repaired to the mill to meet its donkey friend. The old horse talked about the experience of the journey, those mythical realms, and the donkey was amazed to hear it. The donkey exclaimed, "What a wealth of insight you have! A road that far away, I can't even think about it."

　　The old horse said, "In fact, the distance we crossed was roughly equal, and while I was advancing toward the West, you did not stop even one step. The difference is that Master Xuanzang and I had a distant goal to follow a consistent direction, so we opened up a wide world. You, on the other hand, were blindfolded and spent your whole life just circling the mill, so you could never walk out of this narrow world."

　　I believe that the truth of this story is so straightforward that there is no need to make additional explanations, it tells people that a person without the right direction in life will always be tossed around in a narrow world, although he also tried, but the wrong direction of effort, everything becomes meaningless.

　　A philosopher once said that the most important thing about a person is not what he has achieved or where he is, but the direction he is heading. Almost everyone knows the story of "The North and the South", so why couldn't the hero of the story go straight to his destination even with a good horse and a good driving skill? It is because he chose the wrong direction. This shows how important the direction is for a person.

　　Only if you choose the right direction, you can have the motivation to move forward and have the hope of success. The right direction is both the beginning of success and the guarantee of success.

　　A famous American scientist had conducted such a very interesting experiment: he put five flies and five bees in each of the two glass bottles, and then the bottom of the glass bottle to the side with the light source, and the opening towards the dark side. A few hours later, the scientists found that the five bees all crashed to death, while the five flies have long since found a way out of the back end of the glass bottle.

　　The flies, on the other hand, ignore the logic of things and fly around without regard to the attraction of the bright light, and eventually find the right exit and gain freedom and new life.

　　In fact, there are so many examples like bees and flies in life. Some people do not have a long-term vision, and they keep insisting on the wrong direction, not knowing how to adjust their direction, and as a result, they are trapped in a busy and inactive situation. The reason why successful people are able to succeed is that they all have a commonality, that is, good at grasping the direction of advancement, no matter what they do, they all look at the goal clearly before starting to act. If there is no clear direction and goal, a brute force, and the story of "South of the South" what is the difference between the stupid man?

　　Most people rush along without thinking about the direction and end up going places that are not even worth going to. Without direction, the effort loses its meaning. Remember that direction is always more important than effort.
